Someone ran Pantheon Mid in LCK a few days ago and it didn't make much sense there either. Just don't understand what Pantheon brings to competitive except in rare counter pick situations

clg with so many spots to just do pretty much anything and win in both games..just soo bad at making decisions

like game 2 they take baron, they win, they seige, they win.. they stand in a bush for 3 minutes and lose

That was pretty cool and interesting to see and really nice adaptation from Gamsu.

I'm not sure why they feel Vlad is a big counter to Rammus. You will kill the outer turret sure, and have a modest cs lead but you can't kill Rammus and he actually stops your push pretty easily after a little time.

25+ minutes Rammus is just a better champion, it's pretty laughable after you figure out Banner of Command.

I disagree a bit here. From 0 - 15 mins vlad wins pretty hard, from 15-25 or 30 mins rammus can hold him off and then full build rammus can't do anything.

50% of the time you should be able to get regular lanes and then be able to pressure the rammus really hard(Not sure if Teams actually randomize things like that or if they just decide to go Top/Bot and hope the opponents don't laneswap).

Overall their teamcomp in Game 1 was much much better and offered a lot to deal with the Rammus. The udyr can just stun him, the Lulu can glitterlance, polymorph and the thresh could flay. Overall Lulu + Vlad/Udyr is pretty scary as you can just run at them and it's gonna be hard to kill a fed vlad with Lulu backup.

The banner definitely was interesting and gotta give it to the person that game up with it(They didn't do it g1 so it prob was an adaptation). Maybe Rammus could proxy vs Vlad and stop him that way too, not sure.

Jhin also doesn't win lane as far as I'm aware, so they got 2 losing lanes and laneswap really is the best thing that could happen to them in g3. I feel like if they don't get the swap they just outright lose, so if done properly from CLG they freeroll like 50% of the time and then have to play 50%.

Just finished watching SKT vs TSM. I think TSM fundamentally misunderstands this meta or aren't playing to win, it's like they draft a team that can only win by crushing the first 15 minutes, and they're going up against one of the best teams in the world where they're going to struggle to stay even. In game two they had five squishies with minimal crowd control, range, and wave clear that can never engage or siege at an objective, even in a 5v4. The priority should've been on Braum for the first pick and then round out the comp with Jinx/Orianna/Trundle or the like. Drawing so dead with the team they drafted, even with some of the nice plays they made.

The coordination of Teams in LoL is pretty lacking, you see an Elise and Thresh throw their cc both straight on the target rather than one person throwing straight and one into a juking path to cover a wider area.

So the path for FNC to win games against SKT is basically for Spirit to destroy Blank, their bot lane to go even, and Febiven to win mid. Spirit has had some good performances in the past, but I still think 3-1 SKT is most likely result, closely followed by 3-0 SKT.

easy 3-0 Fnatic

This game they got a strong early game jungler, two item power spike ADC and a lategame split with Trundle. Decent draft overall. Bit low on magicdmg which might hurt the splitpush but gonna be interesting.

SKT wins a world championship winning fewer games than it took Cloud 9 to qualify for worlds last year.

Cloud 9 9-5 (vs Gravity/Impulse/Liquid)
SKT 7-0 (vs CLG/QG/TSM/FNC)

And FNC somehow the second best team at the event. lol China always and forever.

China only lose cause of the swaplanes

At least their domestic league is fun to watch

I'd wish riot find a way to remove swaplanes its ugly to watch and China will keep loosing international events

Remove lane swaps? Why not just force them to play ARAM? The map macro game is as much a part of the game as anything else. If Chinese teams can't handle a basic strategy that other regions handle just fine then they don't deserve to win international events.

That's all true but it's still super boring to watch. Def makes me watch less league (and that time doesn't go to playing more)

"good"

They are pretty much tied for 2nd place in LCK (note that they haven't played as many games as some other teams there).

But true, it would have been fun to see IMR, H2k or G2 instead of CLG, ORI and TSM.

If you'd get rid of laneswaps the meta would become really stale and probably be "win lane - win game". Not like the meta is very exciting currently, but I blame the championpools of individual players for that or the coaches who don't want to try anything new.

It's like Teams decide "This champion is out of the Meta, so no matter what the opponents pick, we are not gonna pick this champion".

Agree on the meta point. That's why its been refreshing to see Bdd playing Azir in his first few games in LCK. Champions that have received slight nerfs can still be played well in pro play. It just seems like there's a consensus agreed upon power pick set when there are plenty of champs and comps that can be run very well without those few picks.
