I've been in Silver for years, I only really play Arams tho

I was silver all season my 3 best winrates besides sejuani are Leona soraka and nautilus with around 60% WR.

I cant carry all games but I'm sure support is where I have the biggest influence on my team

I mostly play jungle supp and giving vision to your team for the whole game is better than getting 2 early kills on leblanc

The difference between a good and bad support is so easy to notice.

VS a bad support their carries are free dinner, even if they're quite good but VS a good support it's so much tougher to kill their carry even if he is a noob

This is so wrong and unfair. You tell me how to stop an adc from getting blitz hooked 10 times in 7 minutes and I will tell you how to win a lane every time as support.

The thing is you can't prevent your ADC getting blitz hooked 7 times (maybe tell him to stand behind minions or something)

Now if this doesn't help, why bother staying in lane? I would roam a lot and try to feed mid and top as much as possible. I would try to ward their jungle or invade with your jungler. Just do something good on the other side of the map. You aren't going to protect your ADC anyway.

Now since I don't play bot a lot I may be wrong and maybe you could've saved your ADC but usually you can do something if not to help your ADC but to help your team.

And maybe when your ADC gets hooked you could've fought the enemy and get something in return (I can't tell since I don't know the details)

DD, you aren't even reading everyones posts. You must have been a chore to teach as a kid.

I teach myself pretty much everything, but when I am taught I do much better with one on one instruction. I mentioned this in the other thread. I can read guides all day and I can read posts but until it is demonstrated and explained to me it will only help so much. School bored me to tears as a kid to be honest. Guess what you just discovered how to carry as a support

pick blitz and hook the opposing adc 10 times in 7 minutes and your team will probably win

You can also pick Janna shield your ADC that got hooked, launch a tornado to disengage and save your stupid ADC from giving first blood, or morgana and carry your ADC by blackshielding him

I think vision in its current state has its own metagame.

If you see opposing team having 4 blue trinket, you know they won't be able to clear yellow wards, so if you go with 2/3 yellow trinket in your team you'll have a lot of undetected vision, if you see opposing team has 3 red trinket just go full blue and let them walk with their useless vision clear

Playing support right now in a teambuilder game.

My ADC is premade and notorious feeder.

I think i am just going to cheese ball yi until I hit gold then try my hand at support again. Seems like you guys are saying that support becomes better as you get higher in rank and maybe I should just play a brainless champ that I know I can make good decisions using.

But you're clearly not making good decisions NOW. It'll only get worse if you play against better opponents. I don't understand why you are basically spitting in the faces of everyone here that is genuinely trying to help you.

We lost hard. Didn't really matter what I did but made some terrible plays due to barely playing support.

Botlane did the best and we lost so that is already a grim sign.

They had some hard scaling hyper carries and we were done really fast (hi fed yasuo/yorick/graves jng with a tahm)

I feel like this was one of those games which are unwinnable form the role of support, but I definitely think I could've done much better.

Okay so this was only my 3rd time playing yi but I ended up with the lowest damage on my team which I KNOW isnt right. So tell me what to do differently.
