I've played top Nunu before, yeah. Most of the time if somebody else wants jungle, I just double jungle. The win that triggered my promo series a week ago with a double jungle, as was one of my promo matches. The first game in the VOD I linked earlier ITT was also a double jungle.

I haven't actually had to ADC at all this season. I did last season, with a 17-10 record as Twitch, although with a negative KD so my win rate was more reflective of my teammates carrying the roles that they're most proficient with.

i've played nunu a few times after reading this thread and have had a lot of fun. in low gold, my only issue so far is that a losing AP midlaner thinks that me + him against a winning AP midlaner = autokill. but i'm like, dude, "i can just increase your attack speed and auto him a few times, let's gtfo" and then i ping him away. to be honest, i haven't really tried too hard in these situations but, i'm basically like 0.25 a champ in that situation, no?

Ganking losing lanes as any jungler is typically a recipe for disaster, but especially so for Nunu. Stonewall wrote about this early last year and it was the single most helpful jungling tip I think I've read online- he called it "triage" and it makes a lot of sense because there's a high probability of so many bad outcomes ganking losing lanes (the enemy 1v2's you, you get counterganked, it's too health and cooldown intensive and ends up costing you an objective, the gank straight up doesn't work, etc.) and a low probability of gank success that only serves to even the lane at best- when the person was already losing from an even game state.

A lot of people in solo queue, even in Challenger, are less concerned with actually winning the game and more concerned with having an easy laning phase for themselves. Ignoring the bad suggestions and demands of your teammates is genuinely a skill in solo queue. Sometimes the kill potential just isn't there, even with even lanes. Make those judgment calls for yourself.

Ty, I'm actually mentoring a buddy of mine (Starvinggoat) and saw you in one of his ranked games (he was playing jungle Lee Sin, you were playing Draven). Unfortunately it didn't hit me where I've seen "NMHU" before until after the game ended. You two went 9/0/11 and 9/3/4 and carried very hard. gj!

Challenger has small enough playerpool you see target bans especially if he picks fizz someone dodges fizz is banned a ton next queue

I've watched a couple of your games and really enjoying the style of play so far except for the fact that my teams are really bad thus far so i cant actually win. Stealing buffs and having tons of vision is really fun. Will let you know if I ever win a game as nunu.

I played against someone under the name of 0beyme just now that did really well on nunu and had never played him before that I saw.

He did just what you advocate though, counter jungled me hard and took all the objectives

I'm confused now, is counter jungling, jungling at the opposing team's jungle and stealing key monsters, or is it actually trying to fight and kill the enemy jungler? I've always thought it's about killing the other jungler.

Both. Any effort to disrupt the opposing jungler in their jungler can be considered counter jungling.

Whelp... well, yes, the last game I played last night was a successful double jungle but it was against a jungle Fiora lol. I assure you I've had success versus meta junglers played by jungle mains. I've just pretty much always gotten solo jungle in the last week. Some people really hate deviating from the meta.

So I played a bunch of nunu jungle games yesterday and am really enjoying it as I've already mentioned in this thread .

A bunch of my games there really wasn't much I could do because every lane fed hard.

I'm getting a better hang of buff stealing and counter jungling which is forcing me to pay more attention to timers.

I had a funny game in team builder against a jungle garen and he only got one buff(red) all game. I had key areas of his jungle warded for most of the game so he got denied farm pretty hard.

Pulled off a sexy level 1 blue buff steal by flashing in and Q+smite combo just as bot lane left from leashing then W the hell outta there.

I'm only Silver 5 and nunu is very rarely played at my elo. From my limited sample so far enemy junglers tend to tilt pretty hard and have a hard time adjusting to being counter jungled so hard. They often try repay the favor. Had a Nautilus try to counter jungle me
but I would always out smite him with my combo.

how did you hit lvl 2 off just the blue

Is it an old video? For a while buffs would give you a full level which was great for nunu since he could steal any buff with consume smite burst

You can still do that if you have a Zilean on your team.

Just watched you on oddones stream, he saw you near his blue and calls both mid and top, you ran and then came right back and then took it in front of his face. He was pretty much useless on vi after that

Lvl1 Vi is completely useless vs nunu so if top/mid don't help nunu always gets it

Yeah that was a fun game. We think very alike and read each other's tendencies very well. He made a really gutsy decision that game where he invaded my red buff solo, level 4 at 7 minutes because he was that sure that I would be across the map for his respawn/dragon. Against a standard jungler it would be suicide. That kind of jungling dynamic makes me really nostalgic for my poker days.

Oh yea I remember that, he was praying no one would be there and was like man we really don't have pressure. Then 3 of you showed up I think and he was like yep that's why you need pressure

I would assume the movement speed quints are crucial, I will have the 2nd in another day or so. What would you recommend for the third until I get the ms speed?

Flat Health, GP10, Spell vamp, and Flat Armor are all fine. Of those, flat health is only relevant if you anticipate a lot of level 1/2 fighting. Otherwise, go with one of the other 3. But yeah, MS quints are extremely noticeable. Nunu is tied for the 3rd fastest base MS in the game, so the base % increase is very noticeable and does not reach the first tier of MS diminishing returns even with Blood Boil (but will with boots).

It's all relative. This was at the beginning of the season, so my MMR from the previous season carried over.

I had a Maokai enemy jungler recently rage quit cuz he only got his first buff and I stole almost all the big wraiths, golems, wolves too.

I've also had some games that just go terrible though where lanes are feeding and then ofc I get blamed for it because I'm too busy counter jungling. Even though, I've completely shut down the enemy jungler it is still my fault that lanes are losing.
