why? I find EG a really nice team, but as far as potential winner goes Gambit has more experience and better results vs KR / CHN. Gambit win worlds!

so ld fntc play for less than 5k a player? that's pretty lame. or better seeding at worlds too i guess?

and the 3-4 match is more important

all of the eu teams end up in the group stages so there's not a big a big difference between 1 and 2.
Winning is more important in the NA lcs since the winner skips the group stage and goes directly to the quarter finals

why does winner of NA get bye but not eu? is NA better than eu?

In Spoilers, just in case you haven't watched the EU lcs yet.

Spoiler:
To me, it's interesting that both EU and NA share some of the same characteristics. The number 1 and 2 teams are leaps and bounds better than the rest in both regions with a fairly significant gap between the #1 and #2 team. I love EG and M5... err GG, but they are nowhere near LD or even Fanatic right now. GG made worlds with arguably the worst support in all of LCS. I mean wow, this voidle (sp?) is GREEN. Alex and company are amazing, but mark my words they will do nothing at worlds with their anchor of a support weighing them down against better teams.

And for some street cred...

Spoiler:
I fully expect LD to dispatch Fanatic in pretty solid fashion.

Spoilers unnecessary in a thread labelled SPOILERS .

Voidle will probably be the worst support at Worlds. He makes 1 or 2 decent plays but nothing spectacular combined with him wandering around for no reason and getting caught 1 or 2 times a game makes for a terrible combination. Gambit probably doesn't have a hope in hell in getting out of a group phase that will have something like:

Gambit
Lemondogs/fnatic
C9/Vulcun/CLG/TSM
Chinese/Korean team
Crap SEA team or GG.eu

There is just no way Gambit gets out of that group in the top 2.

fnatic and Lemondogs can both get out of groups given a good draw or a return to fnatic's IPL 5 form where they may have been one of the 3 or 4 best teams in the world at that moment. Lemondogs have tons of potential and talent, they just got outclassed by fnatic.

****, I just finished game 1 and came to this thread to say how amazing Fanatic looked in game 1 despite being outpicked (imo) so I guess from your post that fanatic wins the series. Oh well. I should know better than to come to these threads.

If that is the case and fanatic won, then I'm really impressed with them. Of course, they've been impressive for a long time now, so I don't know why I'm surprised.

Sorry bro :/

fwiw the thread is labelled spoilers .

Yeah quietly fnatic won both the spring and summer split in EU. Their good though their bot lane is their weakness (on a world level, not an EU level). If they get Rekkles for worlds, watch out, thats like 3 world class players (SoaZ, Rekkles, xPekee) and some solid backup with Cyanide and Yellowstar

there's no way rekkles isn't overrated, and bot lane is relatively unimportant anyway. i'm gonna say having rekkles will make little to no difference for fnatic overall

and i'd probably say at this point don't even play him at worlds, they've been playing with puszu (spelling?) for the entire split

Rekkles is sick. If you doubt him go watch fnatic vs cj blaze / frost from IPL 5 & come back.

Meh,

There is a reason that fnatic had him under contract at 16 when he couldn't even PLAY for them, the first, obviously was to have him play for fnatic when he turned 17, the other was to deny him to the other LCS teams who would be markedly improved if he joined their team. He's the reason the Copenhagen Wolves are winning all the EU challenger events. He's really good.

I think Puszu is pretty good, but only on Varus and Ashe. But the difference is between Puszu who's a pretty good AD at a regional level and Rekkles who is a potentially world class level AD.

And as for it not improving fnatic, I know you don't rate AD Carries highly but think of it this way - a basketball team with Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Random Decent power forward is a damn good team. Yet Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh are a much better team than the first team. It's not that Chris Bosh is amazing its that he's coming into a team with a core that is already very, very good.
