I still maintain that the game on a professional level would be way better if TP was eliminated from the game. For one I think in the early game, it would reward aggressive top/mid laners by providing more of a punishment for being forced out of lane. As it stands now, being forced out of lane means you burn TP advantage and you miss a few cs while backing, but with no TP if you get forced out of lane you're losing upwards of a full creep wave to your turret.
Also the late game situations become more interesting IMO. The existence of TP just diminishes the importance of getting a side lane inhib as a way to get pressure on dragon/Baron.
I also think a cool advantage in the early game would be some sort of vision advantage to the Rift Herald. The lane pushing advantage doesn't really work as it is usually intended, what if in addition to the Speed Bonus, it gave everybody on the team a special "Rift Herald Ward" which is basically equivalent to the old green wards
They should at least remove the TP/Homeguard interaction.
There are a lot of ways to slow down the games (not saying these are good ones):
- Remove gold from turret kills
- Make turrents in same lane invulnerable for 30s after losing one
- Add speed shrines to the map
