nisash you seem to not understand the point. i don't care how often you'll come up vs a champ in solo que. for the zillionth mofokin time, we're talking about a PRO team that does scrims and in-house practice.
as to how often someone will break the meta, well that's very dependant on the time spent practicing with/against non-meta champions, bit of a catch-22 in there, unfortunately you seem not to have caught it. also I wasn't only talking about you, team X, breaking the meta, but I was also talking about how you, team X, defend against other teams breaking the meta against you if you never practice with/against non-meta champions so you don't know their finer points.
This is an e-sport with hundreds of thousands of spectators and SOLID, SOLID prize money. Showing up at an event and getting choked after 20 mins by a team who's running teemo top lane is not excusable by saying "oh well we had no experience laning/playing vs him". You just lost out on possibly tens of thousands of dollars, possibly new sponsors, possibly a bigger fanbase.
It doesn't matter how often people break the meta against you, it only takes one time and you're out of a tournament. And it only takes running bad for 3 teams to do it to you in 3 consecutive tournaments because they know your team has a piss-poor grasp on non-meta champs

That`s why you don`t see randomplayers in sc2 at super highlvl. Even though you would`ve an edge trough being random you are just not good enough at each race to be successful.
i mean do you even realize how bad your comparison is? Your comparison would've been fine had I asked why the **** xpeke is not as proficient at skarner as he is at leblanc, which is clearly not even close to what I did say.
So my counter comparison (one which actually makes sense) is:
You don't see players at super high lvl in sc2 going "well yeah I lost that PvZ game vs DRG because I have no experience against someone going queen/swarmhost/viper", do you? If you do, then I feel the same about that as with LOL, not enough practice/not organized enough
