I'm pretty happy with my team so far. I had a brainfart at Azingy, though, LOL. I wanted another decent mid for my sub position and couldn't decide. I paniced and just went 'Good chance DIG does well this split, let's pick the DIG mid' (he was listed as mid for whatever reason. Oh well).

I did some research beforehand and had a clear top three picks:

#1 Meteos
#2 Lemonnation
#3 Wildturtle

I got my #2 and #3 picks, and decent players from both leagues and many teams, too. I think I can be competitive with this team.

I mean, I got alliance botlane and millenium botlane, to swap in on matchups, wickd to go in if dyrone sucks. Robxlee cuz there was literally nobody else to pick, I didnt want a jungle sub I'd never use.

I just swapped out Azingy for Pobelter. I figure it's better to have a player who's actually starting (albeit a **** player and for a **** team) than a player who will see a total of zero minutes playtime this split.

Oh how terrible, you got the #1 eu toplaner, the #1 eu adc, the adc from the #1 team last season, and the team that finished #1 last season.

That said, diamond and overpow are gonna drag your averages down

it seems I got some good players so pretty happy with the randomness but draft was where the fun is.

You can swap out whoever you want and replace with whatever free agent is available (within the max-2 players per position restriction of course).

You can add/drop players to your roster if they're available, and coordinate trades that way until they implement an official trade method.

This week doesn't count because we drafted after the start of the week, our games start from next weeks.

Yeah but that's actually good.
Given that kills are +2, assists +1.5 and deaths only -0.5, you want long throwy games where your players get more kills.

C9 might actually be negative player picks ( or at least last season for sure ) because if they finish games cleanly w/ <10 kills total in 20-25 mins a high % of the time, they'd give less points than picking teams from the throw happy eu.

I think NA will be much closer this season though, or I would've just picked all euros on the above logic. ( maybe w/ the exception of dig/clg ).

Someone like meteos doesn't benefit from his super low death rate nearly as well as he should

Has anyone used points system on spring split to see actual rank vs current just draft based on perceived talent ranking

I made a quick table for points scored last season using KDA and CS (so the multi kill and 10+ K/A points would come additionally to that) and the top 2 in every single position were the C9 and TSM players.

Can you not review the draft anywhere? I'd like to see who was available when I picked Aphromoo since I ran out of time for that pick and kinda paniced it.

Like I said, I did some research before the draft.

Meteos is clearly the best overall #1 pick and there's not really a discussion about it. He doesn't score the most points in an absolute sense, but no other player dominates his position more than he does.

Last split he scored an average of 21.43 points per game (ppg), while second place (Dexter) scored an average of 17.8 ppg. That's a difference of 3.63 ppg between the best and the second best player in this category.

For the same reason I had Lemonnation as my #2 pick. He was 2nd best Support in ppg last split 17.67 ppg, only 0.14 ppg behind Xpecial (17.81 ppg). 3rd place went to Aphromoo with 15.63 ppg, 2.18 ppg behind Xpecial (2.04 behind Lemonnation)

Let's say you get Bjergsen (best player in absolute ppg last split with 23.25 ppg), and I then get Meteos and Lemonnation. Even if you get the second best jungler and Support (let's disregard Xpecial, since no one knows how well Curse will do), I can now afford to pick the 5th best mid from last split (Link) and still be ~even with you in ppg based on last split.

Bjergsen: 23.25 ppg
Dexter: 17.80 ppg
Aphromoo: 15.63 ppg
