About me: I'm Huy, 18 years old and a Vietnamese player living in The Netherlands. I'm finishing my high school and about to hit university soon. In order to sustain a nice life, I'm already trying to up my level to possibly pay some of my expenses when I become a student. I play mid, adc and top. I've been playing since season II, was 1400 elo'ish at start of season II and ended at 1800 elo'ish. In Season 3 I ended with diamond II 80p, and in preseason diamond I 50p.

Nice, gl with your challenge. Commented on a few Hands, have played quite a bit of NL 50/100 6max zoom myself. Altough I main HU and MTTs.

I'm a Plat V jungle main who has been playing League only since mid Season 3. Assuming I wanted to role change to mid, what 3 champs should I concentrate on learning and how long do you think it would take me to get to the same level as I am now?

Also, you should make an NA smurf so you can play with the 2+2 folks. Although there are a good # on EUW as well.

I can't really tell which champs are the best to learn, but the ones myself find really strong are Lulu (borderline OP and permabanned in higher diamond), Yasuo and Gragas. Also strong picks depending on teamcomps are Orianna and Ziggs.

But my secret to midlaning has always been playing lulu (=instawin) and heimerdinger (make sure gragas is banned and dont pick heimer until you ser what their midlaner is. Sometimes I go top aswell against weak top laners as Shen, Jax and Lee who are zoned by 3 turrets of heimer easily. Building Morello's against bruisers and in mid mostly banner of command first, then zhonyas (99%) and then deathcap mostly. Also always rush solo to their buffs and try to solo the buffs by placing turrets early in the brush, if they spot you, go directly to your lane and stack turrets, always place the turrets in a tri-angle and stand in the middle for maximum protection.

If you really want to do next level ****, Go heimerdinger solo bot, get jinx/cait +aggressive supp for mid or top, let them rush towers and dive 3-man top while you relax at bot. When you do this, always get dorans ring first, do double golems, recall, buy max pots and go back into lane, by then, the lane will be shoved into you turrets and this will result in you having no exp loss at all.

Summary: go play heimer, imo he's hidden OP

I`m only gold 4. If I`d had the patience to stick to one role and three champs I`d go easily to plat(Almost was there) but that`s kinda boring. I did in poker too, SNGs/MTTs,Cash HU/6max, PLO, Hyperhusngs, I`ve played it all and was a winner in all of them but besides MTTs/HU I was pretty medicore. So that`s pretty similar to League where you should stick to a couple champs, you should stick to one form of poker and get good at it.

Cash is probably the most stressful form. MTTs are easier to learn and yield higher profits. But unless you don`t mind having 500-1000 buyin downswings and playing insane hours it`s not suited for you :P. I`m quite happy to have made the switch to HU as I can just play 1 hour of A-Game then do something else insted of grinding 10+ hours nonstop. Altough I miss MTTs and gonna play some sessions soon it`s a nice feeling to Finaltable a big tournament.

What's a good heimer counter-pick?

Syndra is a sick counter, gragas and ziggs are too as they can one shot turret later, I always ban gragas when i play heimi.

I really don't care about other laners except for riven maybe

what about kassadin and fizz? seems like fizz would be a problem if you get sharked you insta die

Wow just played against a Heimer in solo queue. He farmed really well (top lane) and just did devastating damage in teamfights. I walked into an unwarded bush and just instantly died.

We still won, but that's cause the rest of his team blew.

Get athene's, kassadin is one of the most easy champs to play against, basicly you will have 100 cs while he will have max 50.

Same thing for fish, except you will take barrier and he will die if you survive his burst, and you are perma pushing so there is no way hes going to kill you in lane.

If you get to play against lb or smth you rush banshees

no but seriously, the best thing Heimer has going for him is that no one plays malz.

Good one, I forgot to add that Malz hard counters heimer aswell, it's just that nobody plays Malz these days, but when they do, you can say byebye to your lane pressure

You can basicly only F**K him if he ults someone else so you can drop all your turrets on his ass.

Or if he is stupid enuogh to ult you near your turrets, which basicly wont happen if you have a slight bit of common sense.

How do you play heimer top? Like whats your usual item build. I assume you max Q? Literally have never played heimer outside of ARAM but hes currently the highest win %, by a sizable amount over #2 Wukong.

Always max turrets, its your bread and butter. I can't really say what I build because it depends on who I play against, usually you don't want to FP heimer top, because you can get screwed sometimes. I usually just wait until they pick smth like jax shen, basicly anyone who doesnt have wavecleaver.

Against bruisers morello's > zhonyas > deathcap > void in GENERAL.
In all other cases banners of command > zhonyas > deathcap > void (you can swap deahtcap/void staff around)

Against high burst like LB (can't think of anyone else) I rush banshees and proceed with same build usually.

You ever go up against morde, renek, rumble, teemo? How do those matches go?

56% winrate at what, normals? rankeds? rankeds which league div? It actually matters.

Also you crush morde cuz bad waveclear and shortranged and no mobility. Teemo is easy game you can basicly setup turrets and go afk in lane.

Renek is really tough when he gets his first resistances, when he gets hexdrinker and spirit visage you basicly do no more damage haha... combined with his ult he can dive whenever he pleases.

56% winrate across all ranked divisions.

What about rumble? I'm guessing early levels he can't do crap, but his flamespitter gets pretty good at lvl 5.
