I think we need a raffy containment thread, more so than a Jackitos containment thread.

Merge Raffy!

Raffy, why is solo queue so hard?
Which member of my team(aside from myself) should I always blame for my losses?
Do you think smite/clairvoyance Caitlyn jungle is viable in the pro scene?

Top 5 champs/builds for noobs. I'm just mainly looking for suggestions for good champs to try and get fluent with.

How to beat Wukong. I hate that ****ing champ.

do you know what role you prefer?

caitlyn is really good for bottom, or ashe

janna/sona is good for support

annie is good to learn mid, shes really bursty and easy to pick up

garen is good to learn top as he has a lot of easy lanes

for builds i'd look at solomid

also for beating wukong it is really matchup based, but you should be able to trade pre 6 pretty well, and dont take too much minion damage if he cloaks

I don't have much experience jungling or playing support. Champs I have most experience with, in order from most to least: Teemo/Ashe, then Yi/Jax then probably Brand/Garen/Shyvana.

Overall of what I have tried I like Ashe the best, so ADC is what I prefer I suppose. Have played a lot with Teemo but his reduced range and squishiness are starting to wear on me. Shyvana in the limited games I played with her, I liked a lot too.

I want something pretty bursty so I'll have to give Annie a try. I recently got Ryze and have played a few games with him, pretty good.

Ryze is a good champ to learn. He's pretty easy to play effectively and isn't too matchup/comp dependent.

agreed, and he can carry at all stages of the game!

I've only really played wukong, yi and ashe a lot.
I really like wukong and he's the only one I'd go as far as saying i'm pretty good with.
What are some other champs to try out who are similar?
I just got the main champ bundle so any suggestions from those would be cool.

Also suggestions for good adc/apc/support champs to try and learn?
I never have a clue who to pick when our team needs one of those (apart from yi/ashe)

ADC: Ashe is a solid pick. She has no escape in her ability kit but that will help you to learn how to position yourself in fights or vs. possible ganks. I would also recommend Caitlyn. Fairly easy to learn since her kit is pretty straight forward.

Support: Sona is a solid pick. Offers good sustain for your ADC and some good poke vs. enemy. However, she is the squishiest Champ in whole LoL in early game so careful. I am a main support and my go-to-champs are Lulu and Leona. While Lulu is pretty hard to master since her kit is very versatile, you may try Leona. Totally different from Sona since she is very tanky and should be played very aggressively. She has awesome stuns, crowd control and initiation.

Apc: ryze is pretty good. His build is fairly simple and independent of lane opponent and he ends up as a tanky champ that deals tons of AOE burst during ult and strong sustained damage with Q. No skillshots either.

Support: Janna is pretty simple. Play one game with raffy and you can learn it. Use Q primarily defensively. Use E to help the AD last hit under turret or trade. Ult is terrific disengage. Every ability can be used to protect your AD carry.

ADC: Ashe is fine. Provides great utility. Caitlyn is solid due to range advantage and poke power. I am not too big on ADC champs, but playing one with escapes is good to learn IMO

How do you guys build Ryze? I see some builds that involve some cdr and tons of +mana, which makes sense with his passive too. Things like ROA and Maramune seem really good. Like stacking mana is as good as AP on Ryze or no?

Also, suggestions for a good tanky? Aside from support probably the other style I have not played at all. I hear Rammus is noob friendly. Should I just commit to buying lots of hp and armor when I play tank? I love killing champions but its a team game first ldo.

Ryze builds mana items as they are more efficient than AP. ROA/Seraphs also give strong tankiness. Visage or FH covers your cdr needs, as you get 10% from Q passive and 10% from masteries. Ryze with 3 of those items and sorc shoes is a terror.

Rammus: decent jungle, idk if he belongs in a lane. He is fairly mobile, and becomes a terror in ganks and team fights once his taunt is near Max and has lvl 2 ult. Only thing he's really weak to is knockback

my main supports are thresh, sona and leona

thresh gets banned a lot at higher elos but def try leona out. 3 out of her 4 skills are CC

I'd recommend nami, great champ and very rewarding. I'd probably say best support currently.

Wu is super fun and very strong mid/late game though his laning is pretty terrible unless you send him mid vs a squishy AP. Honestly there aren't many other similar champs. Plenty of champs have a dash and an auto attack resetting Q, but no other bruisers have his amazing AOE knockup + huge damage ult and the closest things to his decoy are leblanc or shaco and neither of those champs are anything like wukong at all.

Maybe someone like jarvan, he has a dash/gapcloser, armor shred, aoe cc with ult, and no sustain much like wu. His dash/gapcloser is a skillshot though and not point and click like wu, so maybe Xin?

I really like Aatrox. His knock-up is really solid and can go over walls, his poke is really strong, his passive is insanely strong, and he is made out of sustain. Technically he is probably more difficult than a lot of similar champs, but even in my modest understanding of playing him he can be a really solid carry. The main problem is that he is squishy, so if you don't have a strong engage he will die fast in team fights.

Watching streams it seems like most high elo people play with camera unhooked from champ. I have tried doing this, but just cannot get used to it. I definitely see the advantages of the extra vision mobility. I am wondering if anyone has any advice on how to get used to playing like that, every time I try I feel like I quickly lose track of what is going on.

If I like Ashe and prefer a general AD carry style of play, who else should I try?

Also what are some essential Ashe items?

Friend kind of told me what to do, sort of build for
1 vamp scepter
2 (get some boots -> berzerkers in there when i can)
3 build for inf edge
4 last whisper
5 phantom dancer

also possibilities, bloodthirster, guardian angel

F1 is your friend. Gets your champ back in center screen in chaotic situations

Your build varies between your dominance in lane. If you are winning lane enough, you get a bf sword on first back. If losing and need items, another dorans or vamp scepter. You don't need boots for a while unless you're getting ganked or all-in'ed a lot.

Generally with ashe, you want ie/pd(shiv)/lw/bt/berserker, and then either defensive item or another pd/bt/zephyr.

Not in that order obviously, but those are the basic 5 items.

I bought thresh since he's apparently OP and i like to tank/support. I'm really struggling with the flay forward/backward. Other than that, It's just having a laning partner who can do damage and not be constantly running backwards towards our turret anytime someone gets close(or I pull them in).

How's this start

Rejen bead, 2pot, ward

then: sightstone, philospher stone, kindlegem

then: boots, Ruby sightstone, Locket Solari

endgame: no clue.

should I be getting some damage things in there or just rely on soul stacks and pick up assists?
