If C9 got stomped in the first game and then played 2 close games we'd remember that series much differently.
TSM and Lemondogs went 1-1 in the groups at worlds
Vulcun would have went 1-1 with Gambit if they didn't go full Throwbargains (of course this is their specialty...). There isn't some massive gulf between these two regions. EU has been better, consistently for awhile, even since like IPL5
I do think that the EU scene is far, far deeper than NA. Alliance, NiP, Gambit, fnatic are all capable of winning the EU LCS. Whereas in NA outside of C9 and TSM there are mostly teams with huge flaws and inferior talent (Vulcun can join the C9/TSM group if they dump Zuna or he miraculously gets better without practicing).
I dunno why I'm arguing this because I hate this argument. Who cares who has the better region? Why does it even matter?
It doesnt, but you somehow started the discussion
prolly misinterpreted me earlier, i didnt say anything between the lines towards tsm etc, i just stated that now e-sports come that far that money start to dominate, compare it with less wealthy teams in big sports, they are always bent to lose their rookies that really made it etc.
