It is actually good question. I think gaming culture in EU is probably very similar to that in NA.

Its teams like Dignitas that prioritize fame over actual talent. Outside of qtpie they don't have any elite talent. They should probably move Scarra to coach, but he's too popular. Kiwikid playing support is a joke, I don't care if Patoy doesn't play a single game of solo queue, he's better than Kiwi (or pick up a real support like Nydus, M eye A, etc)

When Dignitas is the bottom of the table in week 5, i'd expect massive changes.

The other NA teams look pretty decent/unchanged really.

Wow this is embarrassing from Dignitas

I mean TSM will stomp LD tomorrow but it likely won't be this bad

Oh. Been away from the scene for a while, but i figured even if they lost a player or two(tabz, dexter) i figured bjergsen wouldnt be enough even tho he replaces derpinald.

So lemondogs died the classic "small team managed to find talents and lose them all next season to all the big wallets-teams" ? Gonna read up now

Edit : k yea that team sure does not look strong.

Yeah old Lemondogs would be even with TSM. New Lemondogs...not so much.

No no, hes the EU-reginald. Easily the one of the worst professional mids in EU and been for a very long time IMO.

Edit: svenskeren is a good draft. I hope we get to see his lee

Ocelote sucks. He had one good run at the end of s2 to get his team into worlds, beyond that, he's been one of the worst EU mids.

Not really a fan of Jeziz and freddy122 but Candypanda and Nyph are a solid bot lane for SK - I also like Svenskeren. I think SHC takes 1 game, but SK wins the series

Man how sick would you feel getting to game 5 and dropping it? I'd probably crack under the pressure if I was SHC. All young kids lol

What a collapse from SHC :/

They have to feel sick. One game away from the LCS and now they are down in g5 after being up 2-0

No matter which one of them wins, seems like they have a lot of work to do if they want to do well in LCS.

bjergsen was probably the best player in EU in Summer, he's not only replacing the worst TSM player he's as good or better than the mids in either region

the EU talent pool is pretty bad too, the summer LCS was a total crapshoot with 1man teams like NIP on equal grounds as teams like Fanatic/Gambit

if KT Bullets went instead of Ozone(or Jayce/Ryze were good on the worlds patch), and C9 bans Kassadin EU would have had an abysmal showing at worlds

Fanatic is a very good team(that plays down to competition often), Gambit is very good at times but the rest are pretty damn bad much like the US scene beyond C9/TSM

^lol(last phrases)

alot of ifs, all i can see is that in NA C9 shat all over NA LCS bracket and when finally got to play a EU-team whoops they lost and pretty convincing i might add even if it went 1:2. Then they faced another EU team at IEM Cologne and lost that even more convincing. Sure these teams were Fnatic and gambit but it is teams which bracket were running _5_ teams on equal points up to the very last round of games except for a team that they didnt even play(lemondogs). So no - equalizing EU/NA bracket beyond 2 team is absolutely ridicolous.

-- to round up; C9 absolutely demolished NA scene and made it a superstomp. They proceed to play two non #1 EU-teams according to a lengthy series and lose pretty convincing. Somehow you come up with that NA/EU region still is even "except for two teams" when in fact these two teams were battling it to the very last game for worlds with additional 3 teams and 1 team that were above them all.... k.

Things a'changing now tho, when recruiting are going worldwide, teams with the purses will prevail.

How can someone lose a 2-1 series decisively? Games 1-2 were close and both times the winning team snowballed their advantage (C9 even led in g1, something fnatic didn't do in g2). Yes g3 was a stomp and C9 should have played better but its the placement of these games that distort our perception of this series. If C9 got stomped in the first game and then played 2 close games we'd remember that series much differently.

TSM and Lemondogs went 1-1 in the groups at worlds
Vulcun would have went 1-1 with Gambit if they didn't go full Throwbargains (of course this is their specialty...). There isn't some massive gulf between these two regions. EU has been better, consistently for awhile, even since like IPL5

I do think that the EU scene is far, far deeper than NA. Alliance, NiP, Gambit, fnatic are all capable of winning the EU LCS. Whereas in NA outside of C9 and TSM there are mostly teams with huge flaws and inferior talent (Vulcun can join the C9/TSM group if they dump Zuna or he miraculously gets better without practicing).

I dunno why I'm arguing this because I hate this argument. Who cares who has the better region? Why does it even matter?
