Minimizing Speaker Vibration

Hey audio wizards!
I'm by no means an expert when it comes to audio equipment, but I am very picky when it comes to sound quality. I recently purchased an Asus Xonar Essence STX sound card + Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 computer speakers.
I have noticed that at even medium volumes the two satellites on my desk making holding my mouse very uncomfortable because I can feel a heavy vibration through my desk.
Is there any way to negate this vibration? Would mounting them on the wall help? I understand there will be some vibration but I would prefer it be somewhere other than my desk where I have my arm sitting all day.
I don't have a great understanding of how sound waves work. Is the vibration being caused because the speakers are in contact with the desk or simply because they are outputting so much sound close to the desk?
Appreciate the help!

They do make speaker isolation pads, or you can mount them to the wall. Either will reduce desk vibration.
