I think me break here is pretty bad but I dont know. I used to three bet here with anything i intended to pat but at these limits i realize this can be spew. Anyone like just calling down and patting. Dont know much about the villian I assume he is always pat otf there i really dont think he is doing this with a 9 though given the action pre. Given thats its three handed I especially didnt like the break but didnt consider that at the time. If I three bet here and he calls and pats I think his hand is well defined but there is still a good part of range that beats my hand but i think it is obvious if i get 4 bet to go ahead and break plus if I three bet it encourages villian to break a worse hand and draw to a hand that beats mine. thoughts?

Extremely read dependent for me, I don't hate your play, but it could be awful against some guys and very good against others. With no read I think its fine.

The problem is not knowing much about the villian, with that in mind my play would be stand pat on the second draw as the button has folded and call him down, take it on the chin and bank the knowledge for later life. I'd only break if the button comes along.

With this weak of an 8 and two draws to go I totally agree with deathdonkey. Without a read I think this is a break but if he is very agressive and could be raising this without a pathand I would 3bet it and pat.

I would be more inclined to three bet here if say i had 96 or 95 or 87653 or something that i cant really break because alot of the value from those hands comes from hoping that people break stronger hands. That way of thinking i guess is kindof a leak but i think it has some merit against thinking opponents. but in this hand i really only want villian to break one particular hand 87432 and i want him staying pat with all his 876 and getting people to fold a better hand here when there pat is nearly impossible

i think the point of this post is that it matters on the opponent. so OP, if you don't know OP's range of patting being in the middle, you're better off showing down.
