Villian was pretty rare in the fact that he barrelled his 1cds, but didnt play that long so I dont know. After he three bets pre i think hes got a better 3 card. Is my hand too strong to snow? I figured I have to improve to win (not sure if an ace or duece to give me a better three card was enough. I c/r turn to look stronger and would probably do this with my entire pat range vs this villian. Seems like if I have this philosophy Im gonna be snowing alot but if people dont bluff catch much than i guess its ok. Would folding turn be the next best option even though I know for sure villian is barrelling his whole range here. thoughts?

I think it depends a lot on the villain, and whether he's been folding the river or not. A lot of people use their best 3card hands to bluff-catch, and if he really has a tri-4 or A23x, he's more likely to call the river to really make sure you made that badugi.

Some people will believe you here almost everytime. Some will routinely look you up. I personally wouldn't snow here unless I've seen villain fold river a few times in spots like these.

If you're going to snow, I really like the c/r on the turn (rather than bet). It looks stronger and it gets an extra bet in the pot at the same time, both good for your equity.

I think your hand is slightly too good to snow (as you say, making a 3 card 4 might be good), and definitely too good to fold, but whatever. I'd generally k/c turn, k/f river with this hand. I'd probably snow something like 754 and worse, off the top of my head.

This game is a lot different from triple draw 2-7, more than i expected at least. Here i think is my best case scenario(assuming villian is never attempting a snow here or has a worse 3 card that he is barrelling). This also assumes a near perfect dead card scenario(he doesnt have any of my outs for a better three card etc)
Badugi sim, 100000 trials, 1 draw:
Dead cards: 9 Q 4

Hand 0: 7 4 2 -- : EV 24.5% - WIN/LOSE/TIE %: total 24.5/75.5/0.0 - badugi 21.0/2.3/0.0 - 3 cards 3.5/73.2/0.0 - 2 or 1 card 0.0/0.0/0.0
Hand 1: A 3 5 -- : EV 75.5% - WIN/LOSE/TIE %: total 75.5/24.5/0.0 - badugi 18.7/2.3/0.0 - 3 cards 56.8/22.2/0.0 - 2 or 1 card 0.0/0.0/0.0
So i guess on the turn id be getting 5.7 to 1 and need 3 to 1 to call so I could just call here pretty profitably and then fold river unimp.

Note that it's not quite as profitable as you make it out to be because ~20-25% of the time your opponent is actually pat, leaving you with ~10% showdown equity, and probably negative ex-showdown equity from being OOP. So it's closer, but still a pretty clear call. It's getting sort of borderline in the case where you can't improve to a winning 3 card hand, but playing against a reasonable range you'll probably still have to peel.
