so i misclick with my jacks and dont raise pre. thought i just had two jacks. normally i take 1 with my trips but maybe here i should've taken 2. but i almost never take 2.

SB is complete unknown

obviously i read him for a completed draw

since you misclicked, go ahead and draw 2, since you shouldnt be put on trips.

i often call here but i play higher and it may be a mistake at 10c/20c, but i am more likely to be tighter postdraw the lower i play. dont think a fold is a big mistake. really wish there were reads on SB, but oh well

oh and when drawing one with trips, keep the lower card as, in this case, a 2 is more likely to be live than an ace when considering card removal.

^yes card removal is important.

He probably had you beat given that he is betting into such a big field + low stakes so he's passive?
I can't imagine what hand he would limp passively pre-draw and draw 1 two like that other than a spiked draw.

-Also I rarely drop two with trips, but vs the right player you can psyche them out and get calls from crazy low pairs when they think you are popping a bluff with AXXzy

ty for that idea about the card removal

i been always keepin the highest card with my trips bc i basically saw it as something which didnt matter so i might as well make a higher hand (ie JJJAA rather than JJJ22) although it obviously doesnt matter what card i fill because nobody else can have jacks full and if they do i think i'd call a moderator!

ok, will keep the low card in future.

btw bhere2pk i like that you have been replyin pretty quick. similar to the stud forum and o8 forum, this forum dont get nearly as much correspondance as the holdem or PLO ones. nice to have regular replies for a change.

i guess i took 1 because i was too confused about the situation to think of taking 2

I agree on drawing two here, and folding isn't awful since the SB is representing a completed draw. On the other hand, in this specific instance, an ace is normally more live than a deuce for two reasons: the failure of anyone raising means it's likely nobody has AA ( and it's more likely somebody has 22 ) and since the SB drew one, he could be drawing to an openended straight draw such as 5432 but an ace doesn't form any part of an openended sequence.

well to put it nicely, these guys aren't raising with two aces. some of them aren't even raising with three.
