dealt 237aj in co
hj raises, i call, btn calls, sb 3bet call, call , call
d2, d2, d2, d2, i have 23793
check, check, check, bet, sb raises, hj call, i call(?)
btn 3bet, sb 4bet, fold, i call again?, 5bet call call
d1, i draw 2347t, pat
check, check, bet sb raise, i call? and keep calling til it's 4bets?
i'm thinking now flop is an easy fold? i'm brand new to this game so have a lot to learn.
and villain on btn is the "fun player" fwiw.

I don't get why we're calling 2 bets on the flop? Are we really getting the right price? Once we pay 2 bets the pot is probably bloated enough that we can call 2 more bets. Although once it goes 5 bets I'm feeling like we need to make a 7 if not the nuts to win any of this pot. I think once you get to the turn you gotta see a river. Weird hand. Looking forward to what the experts have to say.

honestly, i don't know. if it was just 1 raise pre, i'm sure it's a fold, but getting 9:1 i think it's a call and the only reason to consider folding would be the pat player behind me. i would usually think the pat player would end up calling and planning to draw after this round 4 ways most of the time tho, so maybe it's still a call in this spot?

Everybody drew 2 here and you guys want to fold a clean wheel draw in a big multiway pot?

I'm not folding this unless its like two cold to me after the 2nd draw and one of the other players is pat.

On flop, I like SB's xr with a D1. Looks like a good spot to implicitly collude. I.e., find the other D1, make others face 2 cold. Could be SB drew into an 87 and didn't want to continue betting. But once HJ and CO showed weakness, even if SB's hand is behind BTN, it makes sense to x-raise with the 2nd best hand to try to knock out HJ/CO. Sb's 4b-d1 is spew though.

For hero, agree with HLOchi. we are so smooth and SB is a spaz. Have to call the first double, and priced in from there.

On the turn, if you have some respect for SB, I think it's a sad fold. SB's 3b pre and flop jam signals a 2ww7 hand. Sb's turn xr is usually a made 7, meaning we have ~6 outs getting 13-2 immediate not closing the door.
