Triton NL5: Weak pair + draw vs jam Triton NL5: Weak pair + draw vs jam

I only had 8 hands on villain, so could be anything...

I need 40% for my call to be +EV. Against the worst case range of TT, 88, 77, J9, 96 I have 24%
I think I can discount 96 so I'll only give him the suited ones.
If I add T9, T8, T7, 99, 87 I have 33%.

I assume this is a fold then?

Villain could also have AT JJ JT Q9 and maybe KJ. Also open size should probably be bigger as BTN is getting 3 to 1 on a call, which is giving any hand he can have odds to call heads up especially with position. Also 98o is not a good hand to open.

As for call or fold, I'm not sure, depends a lot on the player I think. His range could be super tight, or it could be super wide.

I think preflop is bad and you should check the flop and then I’m not sure if I like call or jam

Okay I see that preflop is bad....

But why check the flop, isn't there a lot of equity I can get to fold?

I’m very inexperienced at this game but my thinking is that board is better for the caller than for you. You want to have some surprisingly decent hands when you check here. I could be wrong.
