There's a ton of merit to snowing, odds are one opponent usually does not improve and can't call a turn bet and it improves your winning odds against a single opponent while also getting another bet in.
Then in the times you get caught it helps ensure you get action on future hands.
A draw is not a draw, you get raised on the turn after completing 876 is a much different story than when you have the nuts obviously. And the times when you do caught in a snow you will often lose to a hand that you couldn't have beaten even if you had drawn.
