8/16 for both hands. 4-handed.

H1: fold, fold, up to me in SB vs BB.

villain seems competent and is pretty aggressive. will try to do a lot if given good position.

i'm dealt 23r. are we playing this HU here in this spot?

H2: CO opens, i'm on BTN

villain is aggressive and competent.

i'm dealt 872r. call?

Beginner in this game so saying opinions to get feedback:

Definitely playing first. Not sure if limping or raising is better.

Folding second since Tri isn't good. Would open had it folded to us.

I open raise first to deny equity to rags that fold and getting reraised is whatever because plenty of chance to improve

yeah i've been playing the 23r now, where i'd been folding 3CD's as i learned the game. feels like you get to realize a lot of equity since most flops are an auto peel, correct?

is 23r in SB a call from any position's open?

23r not an auto call for me from SB from any opener. I’ll call it against a “spot” and against any opener from button.
