Pretty simple: Split pot 5 card draw game. The pot is split between the best 4 card badugi and the best 5 card high poker hand.

Forget where but someone recently told me about some game that I thought he called "hidugi" that was a one winner 4 card game where you were trying to make the worst possible badugi so the nut hand is I guess 4 kings. It sounded confusing and like something I wouldn't want to play.

The game you've described sounds much better. Although I'd assume aces are way too strong and should probably either count as always low for the high half or the badugi half should be 2-5 or 2-6

The worst "badugi" wouldn't be 4 kings, it would be KQJT rainbow, wouldn't it?

Unless you meant the worst "hand" in badugi, then it would indeed be 4 kings.

Aces are way too strong in most games. There's not necessarily a bad thing.

I’m sure there are lots of variants of this game. I think OTR is the best action . I remember playing our version of badugi back home and then making s trip to LA. I sit in mix game and they say we are playing new game we just invented called badugi hi low (maybe hidugi). I said o we played that yesterday. First hand I play I’m dealt pat 8-pair of 8s and pat and blast away. On the river they explain that KQJG is the best badugi

^^ What is 8-pair of 8s?
And what does the G stand for in KQJG?

8-pr of 8s would be a hand like 8s 8h 4c 3s Ad

and it looks the poster mis-typed the letter G instead of T (G is below T on the qwerty keyboard) so what they meant was KQJT
