Flop aces full, check fold flop? Flop aces full, check fold flop?

Pretty intersecting spot with ranges so narrow. 5-10 courvehal 1k effective.

6c exposes and Open cutoff to 30 with AAxxx with one low card (3 or 4) and clubs. Button make it like 140 and we call

Flop is A66....

Button is solid reg, doesn’get out of line. Plays very similar to myself pre and unlikely to have hands that play wel multi-way, A234 types etc

Why would you fold? Afraid of quads?

Sure, but title suggests he considers folding flop where he has aces full.

That would likely be the most logical reason behind folding aces full

I didn't think the read was solid enough to fold 2nd nuts when only 1 combo beats you, but you were the one at the table so...

Maybe we could find some more possible hands to include like As 2c Kc Ks 8s stuff but I don’t play the game or this player in general to know how he plays

Maybe A26KK or something too where he blocks a 6

meh, in courchevel/8 people basically only 3b AAcc or sets here in my experience (and you have AAcc). on the occasion players will open up their 3b range here, but i think you gotta know that for sure before you begin to put him on lesser hands.

tough spot, don't think i can fold but then i also feel pretty dumb when i see quads cause that's gonna be a more common sighting in ccvl.

If villain had a set before the flop, he now has quads. Quads beats aces full.

^^ I won't argue this tautology.
My point is that villain doesn't necessarily have a set before the flop.

yeah, I agree

But if his range is that specific there shouldn't be a question mark in the thread title. It should just be a Public Service Announcement to the Draw Poker Forum.

i think it's a fair question to ask what other players would expect to see here, though. ccvl is not a very commonly discussed game at all.

Yeah Rob only mentioned pure multi-way pull hands but I thought
of a few push hands that could possibly play this way. So given this input and his experience on the player he should try and think if these hands are in range. If they are, he’s going to end, if not then it’s a fold.

But have not played in this game so can’t say if a button reraise vs a cutoff is always a set or Ac. Some players it always is though, is this one of them?

sounds like it is, unfortunately for him.

i will say i've seen some solid regs all of a sudden start 3-betting with A2 and TPTK. and occasionally you'll get some maniacs but that's so out of the ordinary.

most of the time a reggy guy will tend to stay reggy.

If I played this game I’d mostly keep my nose clean and have tight image but would make moves in later positions with decent hands along with the set blocker
