in our home game we have been playing dramaha for 5-6 years now. Recently we have created different ways of playing it. Dramaha high/low Dramaha 2/3 this has a low hand, draw hand and board hand. To win the post you must win 2/3 outright! I think in all total we have created about 15 games based on the dramaha concept. We play it $2-$20 limit game.

We call this game sviten special, and nearly always play it pot limit in our home game. We did try a limit version with 3 draws and that was fun but we never went back to that.

Can I check a rule from Drawmaha? If you draw only one card, do you simply take the next card face down and that's it? The ability to take one card face up and reject it if you don't like it is a popular feature in sviten special.

There are different ways of playing it.

The way it gets played in my home game, we play pot limit and draw immediately before the betting on the flop. We also burn for the draw. But it works well as a limit game too.

So... Burn... Flop... Burn... How Many?... Betting... rest of hand is normal 5 card omaha and split pot showdown

Based on Sviten I renamed it to Swedish. Honestly it's probably a great game regardless of how you do it.

The way we play it, you either make your expected freeroll on the flop or you dump (with exceptions if your omaha hand is huge). When you have to draw after the flop betting, it narrows down what you go to the turn with more, so I think that makes less flop action but the turn action will increase.

Drawmaha is now a staple in west coast cash mix games with most players favoring the 2-7 version. Standard rules are 1 draw after flop betting.

I've seen Drawmaha where the split is Omaha and 5 card draw, or Omaha and 2-7. Someone mentioned a variation where the split is Omaha and the point value in your hand? Closest to 49?

If someone knows of this variant, can you tell me how the points are counted? Paint is 10? Aces are 11? Is it closest to 49, or closest without going over?

Yea dramaha 49 has been in the mixgame I play lately.

It's paint = 0, ace = 1 point. Nut 5card hand is TTTT9 = 49 points. I've only played about 12 hands of the game but it's interesting. TTxxx is really strong. I folded AAJ24 for 2 bets and a cold call in my SB. Pretty sure even double suited aces is basically garbage in this game, would play it if it was something like AAT97 where i had to option to pitch them post.

I think it's cool that there is finally a game that values the middle cards.

It's now possible to play sviten special / drawmaha on a mobile device. A new app from www.pokio.com, based in Malta, includes it as a game option. To play you have to join a club and I have set one up called Bugibba Homegame.

Is Dramaha 49 spread in any casino or is it a home game only?

Dramaha 49 sounds interesting and I plan to write at least one article on it. So far I've written four on Dramaha high and five on 2-7 and think the 49 Dramaha is interesting since it deals with issues such as the mean and std deviation of the cards left in the deck.

Any other interesting variants that you play not previously mentioned?

Drawmaha 49 is in the Wynn 9/18 mix and got a positive reaction from the players the one orbit I've seen of it in my life. Starting hand selection isn't related to any other games unlike the other drawmaha variants so an article should be enlightening.

T875 (30 points) is an 89% favorite over 7766(26 points) on the 49 side is one interesting fact that I came up with. And 7766 is a 47% dog in Omaha as well.

I will have others in there eventually when it is released but I have a few ideas already about how starting hand selection should go

This is for a heads-up matchup, how many points in your hand is important, when compared with High Dramaha it is slightly less important and with 2-7 Dramaha slightly more important

When comparing to High and 2-7 I'm talking about the importance of starting with better draw portion of hand

Tough to format here but if you are 1 point behind you are 39% to win on the 49 side
