Haven't modeled it out and would defer to those who have but I'd be surprised if your equity was higher by drawing. And you can still value bet the river when you pat.

Yes I do, you know we are breaking off quite a bit of A-5 equity right? Maybe around 20% on that side, which if that’s the case around 10% in final split pot equity. But that’s offset somewhat by a small increase in equity on Badugi side but that isn’t that much.
Can’t ignore implications of river betting but still feel we are okay as we can still value bet river and get calls when scooping
There are 2 draws to come, right? Or did i read this somehow completely wrong? This is a total no-brainer if i saw it right.
Always a shape when a beautiful badeucy hand goes to waste in badacey. I think badeucy this is a pretty clear pat. I think my logic was that with him d2 I could get him to fold some low equity if I patted but maybe I only want to pat here if he d3's if ever. The advantage to drawing is not only making a stronger low but also smoothing out the badugi. The 9/7 can't go for too much value in this game; I got pretty fortunate to not only end up scooping but get a river bet. I wonder if part of me got confused/wishful in what game we were playing when I patted this.
