bvb:

i open 368 from SB, BB calls.

1:2, i reduce to 236

i bet, he calls

1:2, still 236, i toss another 2 (not sure if that's ever too relevant)

i bet, he raises, i call

1:0, make 7-dugi

I'm thinking he D2'd so he'll start more AW, smoother type hands, but jumping from D2 to pat will make his badugis rougher. As such, leading riv probably gets me more value than not. Additionally, he probably also has less snows going 2 to pat so there's less reason for me to be check/calling.

Thoughts on that? Thanks!

I would ch/r here. You should have enough of a ch/c incomplete range that he should bet all badugis and have a fair number of snows.

ah so you're basically saying he's gonna try to value bet me here pretty often cause he'd expect me to c/c with my ABC-ish type hands with some frequency?

His value and snow frequencies should both be higher in this spot than in many other spots, which makes it an ideal k/r spot.

Just to nitpick here but It’s bvb so I’m not sure you are necessarily marked with a tri that’s good enough to check/call

The mileage may vary in certain games but let me ask you two questions:

1) How often have you observed a D2 to Pat snow in your games
2) Do players typically bet J,QK? And call C/R?

And when you lead you can get raised by worse, but when you c/r you will tend to only get 3bet by better

This is all close but I tend to lead given relative weakness of D2 to pat range

ah so you're saying because it's not, say, a spot where i 3b pre and always have ABC, villain might not peg me as a guy who will have more of a bluff catching value hand by the river, correct?

as to the questions:

1. i don't actually see a lot of D2 snows revealed by the river. i actually cannot recall the last time i saw it. not that it was the same player, but the last time i actually saw something was when i, myself, D1'd and snowed vs a guy who D2'd, then called me on the river with a tri lmao

2. players almost always check back J+ here. sometimes even T. so i can't say with enough accuracy about how often they bet/call there with those hands. but i will say people will bet/call a T, myself included.

Well you just open raised from the SB so your D1 range is wide

Your answers match my experience in the games you play as well (4/8-15/30 online)

Given the that I think it's better to lead, Rolled Up's mileage may vary on this
