11/22 with a 2.75 ante in an online mix. I only observed this hand

Predraw: utg 7 handed raises, lj 3bets, bb defends, utg calls
1st draw: 2/1/2
Flop: bb checks, utg bets, lj raises, bb folds, utg 3bets, lj calls
2nd draw: 1/0
Turn: utg checks, bb bets, utg raises, lj calls
3rd draw: 0/0
River: utg bets, lj calls

So utg has the nut/nut while lj has 875(42). Was lj wrong to 2bet flop? I guess utg had 4 to the wheel but not a badugi pre or else would've 4bet, but most combos of 7432 with a 3card should be 4betting I think esp with a cold caller in there. When utg 3bets flop, they almost always have a dugi, right? So that makes lj's turn bet pretty bad. And can they ever get away on the river or even vs the turn raise? I don't think utg is check/raising a 9/9.

I'd check behind turn. As played, with the pot this large, I don't think I'm folding to the turn check/raise or river bet, as villain could have some hands we chop with, like 5/9, 6/9, 7/9, 7/8, or 8/8, although I'd expect to get scooped most of the time.

Not sure what happened on 2nd if bb folded?

But 2! Flop seems super standard after completing a decent low - we want to protect and maximize fold equity.

Flop raise is normal. Turn bet is horrific.

Why am I so awful at writing hand histories? It’s because I do them when tired and/or on my phone. Action on 2nd was Utg checks, lj raises, utg 3bets, lj calls

How tired were you for this one? ;-)

Did you mean utg bets, lj raises, utg 3-bets? Or did you mean utg checks, lj bets, utg raises?

Cheers, Greg Raymer (FossilMan)
