I'm not very strong at Badacey but had a quick preflop decision

7 handed

Loose bad player limps UTG (will mostly have 2 card draws to hands like A2r6x, 743r, a2r7, maybe some 654r, etc).

Folds to me, I have T765r9 on the button with two loose blinds. Raise or fold? Limping seems bad IMO. Am I always drawing 2 to the 7 badugi if its HU or 4way? What if it's a 9 badugi should I just pat?

Side Question,
What is a general opening strategy from BTN to UTG in 7 handed Badacey assuming a standard game.

In badacey this is always a fold pre. The RIO are horrendous in a pot that will go off MW almost always.

Bottom of BTN open range might be something like 23rxxx or 24r4xx. I'm no badacey expert myself, so much less sure of what the standard BTN open should look like. But wrt to the HH I can for sure say it's an easy fold pre.

I’d fold this pre

On my website countingouts.com I provide an opening hand chart for both Badacey and Badeucey

I’d link it but I’m on my phone and terrible at stuff like that

Yea I ended up folding pre, but I feel that in some tighter games I may be able to get away with raises this button if folded to me with no limps. Great website will be sure to check it out Scotch!

Thanks gents, have been incredibly busy with other ventures and haven’t had time to add anything lately but hopefully will get back at it in a few months

When you wrote "Good Pat 7s", does it include rough 76543 for an extreme case? Does it have to contain a made Badugi already? In other words, is 75432 a good hand to pat since it is actually one-way hand?

Do you only pat "Good Pat 7s or better" at all positions?

When will you break a pat 7 after you open predraw?

Thanks man, regarding your questions it possibly could be better phrased or communicated in that I would also include initially pat 7s that you would break in that %. For example I would break As2s3h4d7s but would be included as a “good Pat 7”. And it would not include hands such as maybe a straight Seven with no Badugi possibilities.
