I open the C/O with QQJ27

aggressive button 3-bets. i call. Heads-up

2:2 I draw (QQJ)K9

check/bet/call

2:1 I draw (QQK)52

check/bet/....?

In the hand I made a mistake and folded to this turn bet. I think this is the worst option. We should call and plan to call down against a (somewhat) obvious low draw?

Should we draw 1 here to encourage him to bluff his missed low draws by making our hand look like a low draw?

As a standard I have always been playing my dealt trips as draw 1-draw 1; but after thinking about this hand I think the best way to play trips is to draw 2, then draw 1. I think this way would induce more errors from your opponents

It doesn’t seem like an obvious low draw to me unless you have seen them way overrate three lows like this

Think it’s far more likely they had AA and made two pair

But in Archie people play all over the map so it’s tough to generalize

I wouldn’t make a blanket assumption about how to play trips but certainly if on button I’d D2 than D1 as we have 3 lows there

I also think that’s a very marginal open with QQ. Without knowledge of your other three cards it’s 63% you hold the best high pre. With no A or K this dips below 60% and you don’t play well against those hands. This also doesn’t include stuff like flush draws and the like. And your hand will experience RIO imo

I would open this with an ace kicker though
