I've barely played any archie for any stakes let alone high stakes, but my intuition-line for this hand would be draw to the wheel on the river.

What we'd do on the river in terms of betting is what seems interesting. If we think both guys have medium to weak lows, then we should lead when we catch a 2, 6, or 7. Check/call or check/fold an 8? Check/call when we repair the ace? Bet when we pair the low cards as a bluff or is that futile and we're ok to be unbalanced? Maybe it's easier if we check the whole range, raising when we make the wheel, but that risks getting less value when it checks through when we have the wheel.

This.
The river bet looks like lighting money on fire to me.

Also this. How does the button not raise the flop, and then he pats behind?
And I can't really think of any hands that it makes sense with for Eli to pat and then break drawing 1. Even like 56789 I can't imagine that it's correct to pitch the 9 in that spot.

Well he could take that line with quads. Or maybe even with trips. Agree that it doesn't seem fundamentally sound.

You'd have to be a complete idiot to pat quads or trips on the 1st or 2nd draw.
Though I guess it could be good with quads/wouldn't be an unreasonable play with trips to pat on 3rd for deception. (Might get people to try and hero with pairs+ more often than vs drawing 1, thinking that you just have a low.)
