30:47 should he be breaking the 9? or is the 876 so rough as to not add enough improvement?
31:53 should he be drawing 4? i'm thinking he drew to 78 so he can just get pat quickly in a small pot?
33:35 should he be checking flop? or are 3:2 spots where we just best treated like 2:2 spots? like, doesn't want to check through and doesn't want to c/r i guess?
40:17 isn'tthis an easy raise on river? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epDT5eVBLO4

30:47 - if he cant get his opponent to break by 3b, he's got no way to win the pot like 95% of the time. Your thinking is correct

31:53 - its huhu so he doesn't need a 7 to win. Even in a MW limped out, you'd always D3 to the 87. Your thoughts are basically correct

33:35 - it's standard to bet 3-2 OOP on the flop when improving to a 1 cd. X/r w/o being pat is rare and unbalanced. Usually, x/r 3-2 OOP signals a pat hand. Possible exception for the flop x/r w improvement to premium D1 could be when the opponent in position frequently bets UI in these 3-2 spots and we don't mind splitting our range and being unbalanced against that type of player

40:17 - no idea what you're referring to

Usually, people wont respond to 4 HHs in one post but you found a vid that I didn't know existed so I've tried my best lol. wish I spoke french

Ah gotcha. Yeah, I think it's def a raise and maybe he had history w villain (?) that prompted him to call. I'm not sure when the hands were played, but it seems like a no-brainer

so in general if you hit an 8 perfect on the river you'd be raising it?

re: the last hand - I watched with auto translate subtitles which don't do a very good job but I think he was basically saying he had no read but he blocked an extra 8 and the guy jammed pre and took 2, 1, pat, so he expected his river bet to be fairly polarized between monster and snow. And that's more or less what the guy had was a (poor) snow. Alex explains that the guy's thinking has some merit as his draw sucks so patting the jack can cause Alex to make some breaking errors, but his river bet is quite awful. Alex plays good.
