Never patting. Will run equity calculations when I get to my laptop but while a pat Queen is a favorite vs a 2 card draw, I'd expect to be vs a 1 card draw most of the time. When you're vs a pat Jack, you get to draw very live. When you're vs a draw 1, you're possibly a favorite or even a lock if they keep a jack. And when you're vs a draw 2, I'd guess you give up less than 5% equity by breaking.

Thank you very much, zoogenhiem. Btw., which program do you use to run the equities?

The only free web tool I know of for running draw equities is twodimes.net/poker.
Suppose our opponent's range consists of the following categories:
Smooth nutted 2 card draws (ex. 752)
Smooth nutted 1 card draws (ex. 7532)
Rough strong 1 card draws (ex. 8764)
Smooth jack draws (ex. J432)
Pat nines or better (ignore pats ten for simplicity)
Pat jacks
Our respective equities patting/drawing 1 vs these hands (using the example hands) is:
63%/59%
39%/40%
50%/51%
48%/59%
0%/0%
0%/43%
The question then is what is the weighting of each category. Unless they have a 2 card draw, our equity goes up when we draw. We're much less likely to be drawing dead (if it can even be called drawing dead if we're not drawing). And even when we do give up equity, it's less than 5% as I predicted.
