A-5 vs. 2-7 hand rankings: fun factor (LC) A-5 vs. 2-7 hand rankings: fun factor (LC)

My experience is that, no matter the variant, I have more subjective "fun" while using 2-7 hand rankings than A-5. This is true for draw and stud games. 2-7 razz is much more entertaining to me than A-5 rankings and same with TD.

I feel like I should be able to articulate why precisely this is the case, but I cannot. Any opinions on this? I feel like the structural differences between deuce and A-5, if anything, should compel the opposite result in terms of enjoyability, but they do not. One of life's great poker mysteries.

Harder to make nutty hands in 2-7 = more bluffing = more opportunity for fun and profit imo

Yeah it's all just the bluffing for me.

deuce is better because sometimes you announce an eight and they say "rough 7" and then you win the pot

It's hard (and often wrong) to just snow for the heck of it, and that's how snowing in A-5 feels like with the decreases relevance of blockers. Whereas in 2-7 it's so easy to talk yourself into a snow
