Game is $60 straight limit with a kill to $120.

In this hand the dealer is the kill and posts $60 on the button and acts last.

I am in the big blind and post $30.

Folds to the small blind who raises ($120), I think he would raise any pat 9 or better here and one card 8 draws or better.

Im in the big blind with A-3-5. Call? Fold? The dealer has yet to act still and I have no reads on whether he might play or not.

Description of the Kill is weird, hard to tell what you mean. Assume the Kill is $60 but makes the game 120 straight limit so blind bets would be 20 30 and 60 with an open to 120, ie no gypsy in for 60.

I fold. You are smooth but still a terrible dog to any legit pat, and calling in the middle is an invitation for the button to mess with you.

If you are playing with a bug and your cards are, say, Joker 2 3, you are certain the button won't jump the fence and you think SB might be making a play, then you can consider restealing since there's so much dead money in the pot and your "backup" draw is greatly improved by the bug, but with a 52-card deck I just give it up. You're a 3:1 dog to the worst Ten without a bug.

Is this game at the Oaks by chance?

Good post electrical. I think it's a fold unless button telegraphs a fold

Yah your kill assumptions are correct.

Yikes.

I think initially I wanted to call, because I figured if I call then the dealer is more likely to call which would increase our odds on the draw. But this would be negated by our chance of winning going down 3-handed i assume.

Thanks!
