2-7 TD: good or bad snow? 2-7 TD: good or bad snow?

Unknown player, don't know anything about him. He seems pretty active though, and have seen him spew in a few flop spots.

pre: I open with BTN 23-39T.
SB folds
BB 3-bets. I call.

1st: 1/3 and I improve to 237-AA.
He bets, I call.

2nd: p/2 and I improve to 237-23
He bets. Is this a spot that makes sense to raise, pat and barrel river?

Typically I prefer to see maybe at least another duplicate but 22333 is about as good as it gets for me, and I think I'm an underbluffer who should probably find more bluffs.

Feedback appreciated, thanks

Based on your image, a 2-0 xr w those cards isn’t bad, but having more 7s and 8s is prob better candidate for getting it thru. You block a couple deuces but BB prob has one of the remaining deuces.

I he’s showdoen bound and sticky in these spots which his image could indicate, he might very well have an 8 or 7 and he won’t break or fold. Prob worth giving the snow a shot on the turn but if he instacalls/pats, you might want to shut it down on river.

Main thing imo, is will he break? And if he doesn’t break, will he always auto call river? It kinda seems like he would, even though the bottom of his range, like a rough 9, should fold river sometimes - do u think he will, if he doesn’t break?

at the time of the hand i'd won a few hands and shown them all down, so nothing out of line in terms of image. fwiw i was winning pretty much every hand i played.

i woulda been happier for sure with 7's or 8's rather than the threes. i think it's a good point that the extra 2 isn't so relevant as this opponent will have more of them given his pre 3B.

i can't say i've seen him be showdown bound. and unfortunately i just can't speak to whether he will always call his unbroken hands here.

in the actual hand i did raise and he called but did not break. don't recall him snap calling the raise though.

You've seen 6 good cards which is on the borderline for me of a good snow. Having said that, the preflop positions in this hand combined with the particular good cards seen push it towards a good one. BTN vs BB you will find yourself against a lot more deuceless hands than you would in, say UTG vs UTG+1, in which case duplicate deuces wouldn't actually help you THAT much. The extreme case is that if a reasonable UTG opens and draws 2 in a full game, even if you've seen 3 deuces he should generally be considered to have the 4th. Here, he's often deuceless and your range is MUCH smoother than his, so these blockers are quite strong and a I like the snow.

yeah that is kind of how i felt at the time: having position it just felt "right" and as i said i'm somewhat of an underbluffer. so if a spot feels good it's probably super good for me lol.

i think what you're saying makes a lot of sense and i wasn't super considering it. basically because it's button vs blind and he 3-bet D1s, his D1 doesn't necessarily have to have any 2's. i.e. 3458, 3468, 4578 are all viable candidates here, correct?

and because of how i've played my hand thus far (D3 and continuing to this point) i should have the smoother range advantage, yes?

thanks for the responses, guys
