2nd: p/1 - I bet, he calls
3rd: p/1 - v-bet or no?
Felt kinda thin as a v-bet because I'd seen 88 already. And wasn't super sure how I'd handle a raise OTR, bet/fold I guess, without reads?
That said, my 2-pat here should include some 9's, I unblock all 9's, I do block one 7, so maybe I get looked up by some clean 9's, and also I get value from 23578, 23678, 24678, 24578, and 25678.
So, v-bet? Bet/fold without reads? I feel like a guy who's gonna 3-bet pre will have a lot less bluffs here as well.
I believe your strategy should lean bet, and the main reason is if we backtrack to the optimal strategy for your d2, xr, pat, i suspect we really want to be able to bet this hand for value and the rest of our range.
Hero should be a little more cautious about bet/fold than usual here with our extra 9 discard, villain will have less 8 los to raise and many 8 lows that beat you will often call down anyway.
i would bet because you patted on the first draw so he might suspect you have a nine or even a ten. You have kind of a rough eight don't you? I think the 8s being gone are good? Since you don't beat that many eights.
We beat all 87s. I can't imagine not betting the river when you D2 to make this hand. You should have some snow hands with precisely the same action and that's reason enough.
