10/20 mix

Everyone folds. SB (OK player) R, I call BB 4567T

1st Draw

Villian: 2
Hero: 2 (broke 6, T - I don't know if should stay pat here or break the T & see how the hand develops)

Any thoughts?

i'd just 3bet pat pre.
as played, i 'd pat and be pretty sticky with pretty much the best hand you can have.

Depends how full the game is. The more full the game is with that high a % of folds, the more deuce-heavy the remaining deck will be

i could see how it could apply to a game like o8, but in 2-7, first 3 positions are still tossing all combos of 2xBBB. you don't think this is taking the concept too far? i guess, theoretically it should make you play somewhat tighter, but my guess is the effect would be negligible.

Of course they're throwing away some combinations of hands with deuces in them, but there is still a higher percentage of paints in discarded hands than in a fresh deck of cards.

I think 3bet and pat pre is also the play

Auto, what do you mean we have the best hand we could have? Given we are pat we are way down in our pat range. This is not a hand to get sticky with unless there is a specific opponent read imo

Actually I’m cool with D2 to 754. Yes deck is richer in deuces than normal and think it impacts our decision

But if we did pat, you can certainly fold to action w/o fear of exploitation

I would also draw 2 to 754.

I'd be more inclined to 3! and pat with 97654 or T8765.

I'm thinking there's some confusion on if this hand is FL TD or NL SD.

I see there is a lot of different opinions about pat or not. What factors does Seat you in different directions? Do we 3b pat vs a tight range and exploit his folding mistakes or do we try to outdraw him?

That typically means a play is close and in theory won’t matter very much.

In general though if the game is full and this is the action, mathematically the deck is richer in deuces and the SB typically has a stronger range. Both of these reasons has me thinking that a D2 is best.

eh, I think T7 in NL 2-7 is a clear 3b pat BvB. I assume this is def 2-7 tdl

I think OP played it ok and standard, esp if reg is decent. Rough D2 to a wheel and we give ourselves a chance to make a real hand for a cheap price.

There are plenty of weak/tight opponents against whom I would 3! pat and bet/fold the flop and turn. Barring that read, I D2 most of the time and pat the rest of the time, relying on my image to determine when to deviate from D2
