I miss the IRM/SRM-LKJ forum feud of years past

I thought the way Doink went over Crush at WM9 was innovative, but thought Crush had all the tools to be a WWE Champion as a face, but they pissed it away right then and there.

Heels don't react to the crowd enough anymore. Cheap heat like E&C/Angle got back in the AE was awesome. Heels would get over as heels more nowadays if they did stuff like that.

I miss crowds chanting "*******" or non-PG things at heels, made for a better show/hotter crowd.

Heel American Badass Undertaker should have gotten a longer/better run.

I would have liked to see Chyna or Beth Phoenix getting a shot at the WWE Title at one of the B-level PPVs, or even a main event of a RAW (at least 15 minutes) against some transitional champion like Miz. Would have gotten some awesome press out of it in the very least.

There aren't enough compelling romantic angles. Bray Wyatt being super-creepy or laying out Nikki Bella to make Cena go nuts on him would turn up the heat on the feud.

The effects of Orton's punt should have been booked consistently the entire time. It put guys out for months in the beginning, but now they'll wrestle the next night.

A Jake Roberts/Hogan feud in the 80's would have been money.

Jannetty/Michaels should have had an extended feud over the IC Title (I imagine Jannetty being a life screw-up hindered that, though).

It should've been Austin/Hogan at WM18.

Wade Barrett should've gotten a small WWE or WHC run when he lead Nexus (like Survivor Series through RR).

Cryme Tyme should've gotten a tag titles run multiple times.

As much as I hate 6-man tags, if two guys are feuding, have a PPV match scheduled but not over a title, they shouldn't face each other one-on-one before the PPV, and if they do, it should be a short schmoz-type end in a DQ/CO/NC.

This was never a real feud.

Yes. I can't imagine this being an unpopular opinion.

It would have been, and they started it, but Jake DDT'd Hogan on the Brother Love Show and it got cheered and the fact that it got cheered caused it to be quickly aborted.

Like...you say these things as if WWE's purpose in booking title wins should be to help wrestlers build their resumes. I'd have been fine with Barrett going all the way to the top, but not to just do it for the sake of doing it.

Cryme Tyme...I guess I don't even know where that whole sentence comes from. Why wouldn't you just want them to have one long, strong reign? Why multiple times?

While Papa John's pizza is a 4 at best, the cheese sticks are actually quite good.

Oh yeah absolutely re: Austin/Hogan. I doubt that is unpopular though.

(The story is Hogan didn't want to put Austin over).

I marked for Rene Dupree and got a hand shake at at a house show when they were playing the anti-American gimmick.

*takes a bow*

It took me all day to come up with that.

With that having been said, she did have some scenes with Lisa Marie.

Wrestlers I dislike:

Hogan- can't stand anything about him, terrible in ring, hate him on the mic, either directly or indirectly responsible for a lot of stuff that sucks about wrestling.

Mysterio- his offense kills my ability to suspend disbelief, and these days it's just slow and sloppy. He's all high spots and they're stupid, stupid high spots. Might be fine if he stuck working against cruiserweights, but should be viewed as Hornswoggle-esque in terms of the main event scene.

Austin: What I've seen in ring (there's like very little overlap in terms of my fandom and his being active) I like, but most of my expose is just to his character, which I can't ****ing stand, especially when it's presented as a face.

Taker- while he's been in great matches, he's was only ever avg at best in the ring and a complete mess on the mic.

MVP- is it even unpopular to like this guy? Perhaps the worst name/look in the business.

Usos - but not so much them specifically as much as any team where 1- they basically look just like each other 2- all their matches break down into the same high spots that require silly convoluted set ups.

Wrestling Thing I Hate:

The whole logic behind the suicide dive. Done way to often now, and never in a way that it looks like it would at all hurt whoever takes it more than the guy who does it. Makes people look bad and dumb.

Wrestlers I like:

Albert/Tensai - always have thought he had better hoss offense than a lot of other folks who got more over than he did.

this will be very unpopular:

i think austin/bret wm13 is overrated. i still think it's a great/historically important match but i would never put it in the top 5 or possibly even top 10 now that i have been going back and rewatching all of the "classics" on WWEN.

It's a shame that Albert/Tensais most popular character was a glorified tattoo artist. The dude was huge in Japan from what I've heard and he's very good in the ring.

If only he could get over in Murica...

I've always thought that Undertaker line was incredibly lame fwiw. It's the kind of thing I'd imagine HHH saying.

The line itself would have potential to be lame if delivered with some sort of Miz-like self-satisfied smirk, but saying it with complete and utter sincere contempt for the unwashed masses definitely worked for me.

Biker Taker is slightly better on the mic because he's not trying to sound all mysterious and dark and actually says stuff that means something- but he's still pretty meh with the delivery.

The sister line would be cutting if this was a 5th grade playground (so I guess perfect for WWE), but I don't think it's a good example of compelling mic work.

You guys gotta admit Chyna looked so hot at Wrestlemania 17.

I agree though, 1 night in Chyna left me bitterly disappointed. I expected a lot more.

I loved the hardcore title 24/7 rule

Too cool dancing was entertaining

Mid 90s wwe 1994 - 1996 was a lot better than people give it credit for

The European title served a good purpose.

Tombstone piledriver is the best finisher of all time and the bastardizing of it the last few wm pisses me off

RR2000 is widely regarded as a great PPV, which is saying something since that is the show where Mae Young for her tits out. HHH/Foley is one of my favourite matches ever.

I was indifferent to the Too Cool dance. I didn't like it or anything but could live with it.

God I wish people would quit saying this. Like if a person only had one opinion about the Attitude Era, it should be the opposite of this.
