This thread is created with the assumption that there will be a separate official viewing thread at the time, and I'm sure plenty of discussion will happen in Threadzilla. This one's mostly for fantasy booking and discussion of potential matches, special appearances, storylines, etc in the leadup to the event on April 1, 2012 in Miami, Florida.

So far all we have confirmed in terms of matches is the big one, The Rock vs John Cena. However, there are various matches being heavily rumoured, such as CM Punk vs a returning Chris Jericho, Triple H vs Undertaker III with Shawn Michaels as Guest Referee, and some more. Here's an educated guess at what the card might look like:

this should absolutely be wade barrett's spot

i disagree with a lot of the rest... for example cody rhodes should be ic for the next 1.5 years at least, and the 6 diva match is pure aids, but meh, the rest is ok

Where are you getting the idea of midcard title unification?

Diva match probably figures more like Beth, Nattie and McCool vs K2, Fox and Eve.

Barrett, Skip Sheffield, The Blob and Kane are missing on the card, as is Big Slow who id personally figure will heel turn and face Bryan if Henry isnt able to return in time to win the Elim Chamber. Barrett is getting a push towards something at WM, Skip and Blob are getting pretty coveted returns apparently (eventually, lol at Blob not re-debuting yet) and Kane is a lock to be on the card for the mask record thing they want to break next year.

Id also bet against them unifying the midcard belts, esp with both getting pushes now.

To be fair to him it was rumoured and we have discussed it before in the threadzilla at least once. But like 99% of rumours im pretty sure its bull**** and was never being seriously considered.

while this would be far better, its still pretty horrible

Im still hopeful they will get Kharma back in time and have her return face or at least tweener which she pretty much was pre-pregnancy to end Beth's run.

in all seriousness just booking eve/beth and actually having any kind of coherent booking in the leadup is probably their best option at this point.

its beyond saving though really. just rehire dave finlay already.

I would have been down for midcard title unification at one time, but both the IC and US titles have been restored wonderfully during the past year. I definitely wouldn't want to see us lose one of the belts now.

I find it unlikely Cena as the current top star will go under the Rock, some action movie star who appears on the WWE like three or four times every 5 years.

Will he, like definitely, nope. I think there is a decent chance Rock goes over. But the chances are something like 85% Cena wins.

I could see a scenario where Cena hasn't turned heel by Mania, and Rock beats him. Then after the match Cena beats down Rock really bad fully turning heel. That's pretty much the only way I see Cena going over.

what ive been hearing is that this is gonna be undertakers last match, hes obv gonna win to keep 20-0 then retire. i think they brought back masked kane to fight him, since they have so much history in the wwe.

I just don't see how Cena/Rock ends in anything but an AA, a Cena win, and a handshake/raising of the arm to end the show. Pretty much the nut worst ending possible. Followed by another year-long Cena title run

I don't think anyone would be butthurt by The Rock if he had never vowed to be back for good. I doubt the possibility even crossed most of our minds until he put it out there.
