I don't think that was a bad match, but ymmv. I like that there was a clear face/heel and it built up to the final spot well.

I didn't like it much either. Result felt way too inevitable once the Anvil-face table was revealed, and then it was just a countdown to get there.

That said, I still stand by the opinion that it's good to establish non-title women's matches as a standard part of most PPVs.

I canceled my sub after the Survivor Series and the Saudi Arabia stuff.

Doesn't sound like I'm missing much, although tbh, most of my enjoyment for the network comes from watching older stuff anyway.

Nah. I'm watching and I don't think I've posted during the ppv yet. Definition of filler ppv so far.

3-way tag was above average with an anticlimactic finish though so that's something.

I've enjoyed it so far. The matches have been good or fast enough that you don't mind. The exception being Natalya. I don't like Drew losing but if they give Finn and Zigler time to have a fued that should have some very good matches.

I'm pretty much just waiting on DB-AJ and the women's triple threat. I've sporadically paid attention otherwise. Hasn't been very good in the parts where I've paid attention.

It's been fine but they've put all the really intriguing matches at the back of the card (as they should) so not much investment thus far.

Nia sucks obviously, but every Ronda match has overperformed so I'm interested enough in this one.

Or Ronda just actually fights her and kicks her head in, that'd be good too.

Or Nia legit injures Ronda and ruins everything once again.

I still can't believe how good Ronda is at this. It's also fun to see someone "learning to wrestle" in real time so she keeps adding little moves and pulling out new stuff with every match as she gets more challenged.

Yeah, on a long enough timeline I'm sure the day will come when there's a Ronda match that leaves me bored, but that day has not yet come and does not appear to be imminent. She's so fun to watch.

What stands out to me is that we all kind of know Ronda is going to win every match so far, but she's still able to get the crowd so invested. Partly because her selling and everything is so on point. It always feels like a fight and it's a different energy than a lot of the other matches. And like, there are wrestlers who have been in the PC for years and haven't even gotten to the point where they want to put them on NXT TV, while she's putting on main event caliber PPV matches.

Gotta say I've been completely tuned out of this match. It shouldn't be for the IC title. Where's the violence? Crowd dead from the very start.

edit: also the commentary ganging up on Renee is not good.

Rene being on commentary takes too much away from the character they're trying to portray with Dean. Maybe not her fault, but you can't ignore it and it all just loses something when you think of this guy as someone's husband in an apparently functional marriage.

Edit: I should add especially since the woman he's married to seems perfectly rational and sane. If they made Rene a psychopath too...

They didn't come out with nearly enough intensity for this feud. They should be trying to rip each other apart and Seth should have shown way more fire than just doing typical wrestling moves.

Agree that Renee commentary is awkward to say the least. I think she's doing what she can but it's a ****ty situation.

Yeah Renee is meh and actively takes away from what Ambrose is doing. I heard the other day that she had a very poor run on commentary on NXT?

I hope they don't make Seth their next guy. Maybe it's because I've not been here for all the times he was really good character wise and he's obviously good in the ring but doesn't do it for me at all.

I thought the match was decent though just wanted a lot more from it.

Dunno how much you watch from week to week but it's been the highlight of WWE for the past few months (maybe longer?) Becky Lynch has been absolute fire.
