Not only that, but they changed rules in the middle of the show. Becky needed Fit Finlay to approve her as a replacement for Lana, but then Jax just entered herself after taking out Truth.

I peaced out and went to bed early in the men's Rumble because I was tired and it didn't feel like I was going to miss much of anything. The posts since make me feel decent about the decision.

I do think the women's title matches were strong enough that any of this hyperbole about the awfulness of the show is a bit overdone, though the women's Rumble really was historically bad.

I will say that Becky losing the curtain jerk match to Asuka and then winning the Rumble shows they learned (maybe?) from 2014 when Daniel Bryan was nuclear hot, lost his opening match, and then was nowhere to be found in the Rumble (lol Bootista).

Both women's matches were at least good. The pre-show cruserweight match was good but I understand people don't care. Styles Bryan was also good just in an absolute death of a spot.

And I think overall the PPV was one of the worst of the past 2-3 years I've been following wrestling again. Not as out right awful as some of the B-show PPVs have been but easily when factoring in rumble hype.

It was only 6 years ago we had Cena win the rumble and Rock beat Punk.

It definitely floated in mediocrity but there are depths it didn't plunge to

And I'll take Alicia fox's hat and Hornswoggle over historic history historically being made right now in history because this historically made history is historic history
