Isn't Jimmy the one with all the DUIs and injuries? Jey's the one who isn't as good, but at least shows up.

Nvm Jey is the one in the match

I agree you can keep LAK near the top of the card without the strap but the difference between him and Cody is Cody has been a main eventer for a couple years now, and he will get the belt eventually

LAK is so organically developed and fan backed that it’s one of those things where you kinda have to give the people what they want. Idk, he has to get over on someone or with some belt, US Title seemed obvious but maybe they do genuinely want to give him the WWE title and give people the uso over roman conclusion

Definitely curious where this goes. LAK over Roman for the title would be pretty ****ing cool but a total waste

LAK will go over Austin Theory post-Summerslam - Theory will either win a triple threat with Escobar and RMJ, or beat one of them as Escobar turns heel

Crickets for summerslam? Yikes

Summerslam card looks pretty great too . Only thing not enticing to me is Ronda/Shayna

Cole: "this is the first of four main events"

Yeah I don’t understand the 4 main event bit.

Watching this with no context. Really enjoyed the first match.

I love Hogan Paul

In the post-SS press conference, the first question to Heyman was: "Paul, what inning are we in?"

"Bottom of the 3rd"

He and Roman have thought this out for nearly a decade. We keep asking who's going to beat Roman. That person may not even be here yet.

Maybe by then Rhea is wrestling men. Maybe baby Steiner. Could be Goldberg's kid in 5 years.

WWE trying to make the ‘yeah movement’ a thing feels like not a great sign

Rooting for him though

I find it very odd that I have any clue what Logan Paul's thoughts on Oppenheimer are, but here we are.

Logan Paul claims he walked out of Oppenheimer because ‘nothing happened’

I'm, uhh, not surprised that Logan Paul is a "not enough car chase scenes" guy.

Atomic bomb...lots of people died...nothing happened.

Had to be in character.

PS - If anybody's watching Heels on Starz, A.J. Lee joined the cast this week.

Hoping someone eventually shoots on Logan Paul about his CryptoZoo scam that ripped people off for hundreds of thousands of dollars

Nice callback from Summerslam 93' with Gable winning via countout against Gunther

and the fact he said he'd pay back something like $1.8m and hasn't paid back a dime. Dude seems like a complete scumbag from the little I've heard about him.

He knows where he is on the card, gets people over, shows up, does all the press they want, stays relatively healthy

I'd say he's the John Cena of the midcard and there should be no shame in such a thing - it's invaluable

I don't even think that's a hot take tbh

It feels like Miz is appreciated by the overwhelming majority of fans, right? He deserves compliments, but I wasn't necessarily sure that he's that underrated.

I'd argue he's now a top talent who has been bullied below his means from the way he came up and he should be much higher up the card.

The problem is that his act has become stale. A move up the card at this point would necessitate some sort of reinvention or even a lengthy absence. Cornette likes to say, they can't miss you if you don't go away.

I've never seen much reason to gripe about his booking. He got the world title, it was okay, but relative to world champions over time he's pretty weak whereas he's very strong on the all-time staples of the midcard. It didn't help his career momentum that his first run as a face was an absolute disaster, and that was on him as much as it was on the booking.

He's a success story, a guy who came from reality TV seeming like a low-talent douchebag who then worked his ass off to not only become a really good professional wrestler but also to become a good ambassador for wrestling. And it's always seemed to me like he's one of the guys that WWE has basically done right by.
