I have to say, as much as I hate the concept of the WM 2000 fatal four-way main event...I think the match is a little underrated. It was actually surprisingly entertaining last time I watched it.

Elimination-style makes multi-way matches much better, especially tag matches. Ludicrous logically to ever tag out in a multi-team tag matches where first fall wins the match. Plus even in singles, you lose the silliness of having to always have someone else incapacitated so they don't break up the fall relentlessly.

Maybe I’m seeing things differently than you guys but there absolutely nothing about Sami that screams at me ‘this guy needs to be the champion’

It’s less about being the champion than about paying off the Roman storyline with maximum satisfaction. That’s why I like the idea of Sami winning and then immediately jobbing to Cody.

Though I do think that Sami looks a lot more champ-like when he had the NXT short hair, so perhaps he could lose a hair match soon too.

If Cody is willing to turn heel, it could be a great story that he's jealous of the love the fans have for Sami. It was supposed to be him.

I still think the most likely scenario is probably Cody remaining face, Roman retaining against Sami (at EC or WM) and then costing Roman the championship at Mania. Not necessarily by direct interference, but either by distraction or fending off the Bloodline when they try to interfere. Then Roman can either take time off from there till SS or continue feuding with Sami without a title at stake. That feud doesn't need a belt.

Is Sami's match at EC for both belts?

of course. No reason to separate the belts.

Are you sure?
I read somewhere it was for the Universal belt, but maybe they wrote "undisputed universal title" (whatever that means), so who knows I guess?

Ah ok, that's how they phrased it!
It confused me.
Thanks!

So it makes the chances of Sami winning at EC going from very slim to zero basically.

What do yo think about the prospect of Otis joining MMM and Gable potentially having a solo push?

I shamelessly love Nikki Cross. Crazy just works for me.

Wtf was that triple threat finish.

It'll lead to Becky going nuts because she can't find an opponent for WM, only to end up facing a re-debuting Brandi Rhodes

As much as I've loved the Bloodline stuff, I have to nitpick Roman watching Sami and Jey on TV from home. That would require them to have acknowledge there was a camera there filming them, meanwhile Jey was looking around to make sure nobody was watching. Nope, just the millions watching the show.

Well, Sami is in town and was "acknowledged" (SWIDT?) on the ice of the hockey arena last night and given a team jersey AND an HONOURARY HAB shirt!

How can he not win on Saturday?!

If he's pinned, submits, is counted out, disqualified, or is deemed unable to further compete by the referee

Of course! I was being chauvinistic.

Sami could also win by Roman being disqualified or counted out, but still come out empty handed.

Sami will need to get absolutely squashed by Roman so the fans don't turn on Cody en route to WM imo

While they're at it, perhaps Alberto del Rio could jump Cody to create some real sympathy for him.

This crossed my mind a while ago as well. Such a similar spot as 2014. Might as well do what worked

That Minneapolis crowd was tremendous. The "Si! Si! Si!" chants were inspired.

Maybe if Sami were to somehow win the title at Mania we could get Kane as his first feud afterward

Yeah, I’m under the impression that the overall fan sentiment is a lot more favorable to Cody than it was to Batista then, but creative still is pretty damn cornered if their plan was simply to put Cody over for the title as a babyface.

Sami isn't even the real protagonist of the entire bloodline story. Jey is.

Been seeing some crazy **** about Brock.

Was originally supposed to beat Lashley, but nixed Mania match with Bray, which is why they went with that weird finish.

Instead, he's got Omos at Mania and is telling people this is his retirement match.
