The one criticism I don't really agree with is the "they're acting like teenagers" thing. The Rock was the biggest star in wrestling and all he really did was call people jabroni and candyass. That's kind of what wrestling is, and I don't see this as super different.
Agree, the only mistake I believe Becky made here was calling Ronda full on "Russo", when she's turning more into Steiner.

B level promo from Trips, which is still miles ahead of anything else the company puts out nowadays.

"Everything you watch on this show is usually just fictional characters pretending to hate each other, but this angle is real and I really really hate the actor Dave Bautista and want to beat him up for real. Thank you and I hope you enjoy the rest of the fake show.'

The problem with Paul's promo (because that's who he basically said he was, Paul, not some character named HHH) is the same is Becky's "script" tweet. If Richard Fliehr loved being out there and performing so much, then he must have loved that they wrote him into the script and made him part of the story again.

So then, what's the actual problem? Everyone should be happy. Why does Paul want to fight Dave?

With the Shield getting back together again for Fastlane, they can quickly have Ambrose turn on them one more time before getting back together at Mania before Ambrose leaves.

And why are two SD women fighting for the vacant Raw title?

Reminding everyone who championed the woman's revolution:

This was quite the sight to see as I tune in just to watch the main event segment. jfc

Seeing Steph **** up on live tv by giving away the WM match made it all worth it.

This hard 11pm cutoff time makes for some fun awkward moments when they cut it too short and all have to stare at each other for five minutes.

So if Becky wins Sunday, she gets to be a part of a WM title match she's already earned the right to by winning the Rumble, but she was pulled out of and suspended, but then put back in by HHH & Stephanie, but then over-ruled and pulled back out and suspended again by Vince, but then Steph over-ruled that she was over-ruled to put Becky into a match on Sunday for the right to fight for something she had already won the right to do.

I blame Nia.

So awkward. How can they not get this stuff right? Aren't they an entertainment company?

That said, turning RR heel in this way is the smartest thing they can do. Keep her away from a microphone and just let her punch and throw people.

Fixed?

I'd like to see that trend.

Yeah, heel Ronda is best for business. Though I'm a little salty because I thought the whole justification of not doing Becky vs. Ronda one on one was that they didn't want Ronda to get booed, but then they turned her anyways.

I also think the story is so sloppy... like Vince installed Charlotte and suspended Becky, overruling Stephanie/Triple H, but now it seems like Stephanie just overruled his overruling? I don't expect a ton from WWE, but I figured the first women's main event would have had a more coherent story that was planned out instead of the typical improvise every week thing. It's also frustrating that Becky is getting no mic time when she got over by being extremely charismatic on promos.

I don't see how there can anything good said about HHH's promo. I'm actually not even sure it would be an exaggeration to say his promo was a burial to all of professional wrestling. HHH is the king of it after all.

otoh, Ronda's heel turn was great and very well done. It also highlighted how unnecessary Charlotte is in all of this. This could have been an all-time one on one match with undefeated and bitter Ronda taking on the underdog most over wrestler in the company Becky.

I did love when Stephanie said if Becky wins, she's in the match (that she already should be in), then went for the cheap pop line of "that's what you want, right?" And the fans were like "ehhhhhhh not really but we'll take it, I guess?" The amount of storyline contrivances and work they put in to totally water down the central feud is unbelievable. It's still salvageable because I think the characters are all in the right place now and they can hopefully move away from all the suspension/injury BS as we ramp up to Mania, but it's hard to have any confidence in them telling a story atm.

I still can't fathom Becky not being on the mic for the last month. She can sell this match in five minutes better than a month of these goofy angles.

Just watched the HHH promo. WTF are they doing? Reminded me of the "Goldberg went off-script" stuff from 2000 WCW.

It wouldn't have even be hard to make a minor tweak and not be terrible. Something like "I may have largely traded in my wrestling boots for a job where I look for talent all over the world so that this company can prosper for another generation. But make no mistake: I haven't forgotten how to fight. And whenever we meet, you're not getting 'Talent Scout' HHH; you're getting 'The Game', the most vicious son of a ***** you've ever met. I'm ready whenever you are."

I didn't see his promo but did see a picture of him walking out to the ring and couldn't get TLF out of my head "he's the corporate guy for 10 months out of the year until it's WM season and then it's time to loosen the tie and bury someone.". So ****ing true. I was hoping for a WM without him and Take.

"bury someone" was paraphrased. they didn't say that

It is funny how wrong they seem to get so many things. All the best stuff that comes around feels like it's by accident and unwanted in the grand scheme of things so they either bury it or take control of it and ruin it.
