This is the best ending to Raw in a really long time. Finally something different.

That didn't really make a whole lot of sense, but I was entertained.

^^^^^

Glad I caught the ending. Taking Kurt hostage and forcing him into the ring was...weird. It actually reminded me a lot of Austin taking Vince into the ring with a "gun" but that was actually logical.

Considering Sami and KO weren't present, are they the only two actual faces on Smackdown now? Would have loved to have seen some Brock involvement too.

I think they set up Brock not getting involved with the promo Heyman cut earlier in the night. I still think they have a chance to recreate Austin returning to take out WCW/ECW, with Brock in the Austin role, for the go-home show before SS.

Don't even try to fill me with hope.

I'd assume that's going to be Braun since we already know Brock is in his own separate match.

I really wish Vince would've been ballsy enough to do something before the end of the show where all of the RAW talent gets ****ed up and have to be stretchered out and they just halted the show* for a while until some guys came forward that were unscathed. This is, of course, a complete ripoff of the Nash lawn darting of Mysterio edition of Nitro...idc, it's a great story.

*or just put SD! wrestlers in matches if you don't want to halt the show for an extended period of time.

So after they were all on the same team tonight, ganging up on people on the other brand, which half of them were a part of a few months ago and may again be in a few months, will they just go back to hating each other only on Tuesdays?

I think that's easily explainable tbh. There's competition on SD! and they want to prove they have the best wrestlers there. As I've said many times on here, one of my gripes with current WWE is that they don't have these feuds where people "hate" each other. They're just petty issues that they settle with a wrestling match. Dean/Seth in 2014 was hate, KO/Sami in 2015/16 was hate, Roman/Braun earlier this year was hate, other than that ???. So I find it very easy to sweep that under the rug.

They can make the SS matches more interesting if the winning team gets to take someone from the losing team for their show moving forward. I couldn’t care less if SD or Raw wins, but adding this stipulation would be fun. It would also shake up the rosters a tiny bit, which they could use.

That could be a fun stip. It definitely needs something. SD! won last year, but what did they win? Bragging Rights!

Owens left the South America tour for personal family issues, so I don’t think him not being there has anything to do with storyline.

I absolutely hated the ending. Just total garbage. I wouldn't have minded it if it had just been heels doing the attack, but characters like Becky and Dillinger would obviously never participate in that sort of assault. And trying to act like the wrestlers really care that much about "brand supremacy" rings completely false to me.

Kane beating Balor like that is the most shocked I've been by a match outcome since the Undertaker lost to Brock I think.

I didn't really catch much of the Kane match but I noticed it was over pretty quick and I saw the finish with the 3 chokeslams. Dare I say, I was actually intrigued. Also, so much for Finn challenging Brock at RR?

I feel you on this, it felt pretty forced/cringy with the people included. I would have to have a list of the entire Smackdown roster to come up with a better lineup for that situation, of course other things behind the scenes come into play. The concept was good, the delivery was meh.

*nit* would have liked to see Carmella with her MiTB briefcase unless she lost it somehow and I missed it.

She has the briefcase. Funny enough it was actually mentioned on RAW when they named the women that could participate in the women's SS elimination match.

edit: now that I think about it, Kane beat Finn who just beat AJ at the ppv. #booking

Think I land somewhere in the grey area of being entertained while totally agreeing with Rat's criticisms.

Was at least glad that Sami and KO weren't just suddenly out there doing Shane's bidding.

Corey acting all mad that the Smackdown wrestlers are beating up the wrestlers on his show. But isn't Corey the Smackdown announcer also?

He eventually acknowledged that mid-segment, probably realizing that his reaction so far didn't make sense.
