I think the point Feldman was trying to make is that the Goldberg/Brock stuff was just pointless and didn't help the overall product in a long term sense. If that's what he was saying then I agree with him. I mean Goldberg came in as a 50 year old man, squashed a guy that was previously billed as unstoppable, squashed the full time champion and then dropped the belt a month later to the first guy he squashed and left. I didn't think it was great to watch until Goldberg got beat and it did nothing to enhance to anyone or anything about the show.
Yeah, but that was probably never the point. I didn't love it either, but I will admit their "encounters" were entertaining for what they were. The point was to get lapsed fans to buy the network or even get younger fans interested in Goldberg, who they can find on the network.
I can't actually remember the last thing they did for long term value though, aside from shove Roman down everyone's throat, so I guess at this point I'd rather take the momentarily entertaining stuff.
That said, the Roman/Braun feud is the best long term feud/angle they've run since HBK/Jericho and maybe even better than that. I love watching guys who absolutely want to destroy each other and might physically be able to too. /Tangent
