Anybody seen these RKO vines that have been doing the rounds? Somebody has compiled them all into a video.

Best booking of Orton in years.

Yes to both. And the cruiserweight show doesn't presuppose any knowledge of the previous episodes or cruiserweights. A much watch just for what Arn Anderson says. It is about time a cruiserweight division comes back to WWE.

Nope. Go back and watch WCW cruiser matches and you'll see most of the moves and excitement that made it great wouldn't be allowed.

I wouldn't expect it to be as good as the WCW division. It might be a solid improvement on some of the trash they put out there now, and help the 'heavyweights' not get so overexposed.

I'd welcome a cruiserweight division but isolated is probably right. Even if they did allow those moves, WWE would ruin it and treat the wrestlers as second class.

Speaking of treating wrestlers/divisions as second class, I'm watching SD and Ziggler loses clean again. 3 shows and 3 clean loses for the IC champ. I hate it.

I propose that we rename the title the Barry Horowitz Memorial Intercontinental Championship.

Wouldn't that require Horowitz to be dead?

Problem with Ziggler is that he's just in that perfect spot where he's good enough that beating him means something kayfabe wise, and talented enough that he can make people look great, over enough that it won't really hurt him to lose.

It's just a shame he happens to have the IC belt at the same time as it seems like they've got a real need for him to fill that role. With Punk, Bryan, Roman, Brock, Batista etc all out for a variety fo reasons you've got people like Ambrose, Rollins, Rusev that all are being pretty quickly moved into the Main Event scene, which means they need people like Cesaro and Ziggler to go over. Real quandary in terms of having a viable mid-card melt and needing to use mid-carders to elevate talent.

It probably makes more sense to do that than to care about the IC belt. Belts are just a device around which to build feuds, so I don't really think it's the worst thing if they're devalued, but it does make that worker harder.

There is a cruiserweight division btw. It's called NXT. It's the best thing they do.

He can be Kayfabe dead for that to happen, no? Just like the time Mr McMahon's limo blew up.

Maybe I should bump the Unpopular Opinions thread for this but I never had any interest in the cruiser weights. After a while, you'd seen all the moves and they needed more behind it to keep my attention. I don't think I've ever paid full attention through an entire Rey Mysterio match and been thoroughly entertained in my life.

Have you seen this match?

If nothing else, Rey was the one guy who was able to take that Dean Malenko gutbuster from the top rope.

Well, like I said. I probably did, at least some of it, but don't really remember. The highlight of Rey's career I remember most is Kevin Nash throwing him like a dart against the trailer in '96.

Mysterio/Rhodes was an awesome feud, they had back to back great ppv matches

TIL Rey making every important match of his 5% less watchable by defying even Wrestling's standards for looking like a complete asshat is not a new thing. I know, it's Halloween, it's ****ing stupid and awful looking even in that context. (if I had my druthers, nobody would ever work in a mask, facial expressions mean so much, it's basically why I became so infatuated with Luke Harper for instance).

And of course Eddie is dressed like an absolute G.

I tend to think nearly anything head scissors/'rana related is super dumb and kayfabe breaking and have a hard time enjoying a lot of the match as a result.

Pretty solid match but with the massive caveat that I'm not at all a far of Mysterio I'm not sure it lives up to the hype. (but I also need to watch again when I'm not at work and watching in a small youtube window).

Yeah, maybe I should have clarified that it was really when they brought in the 50 guys with masks that I really didn't care cause Guerrero, Jericho, the guys with personality and ability were guys I always liked.

That's the problem with the internet sometimes; sorry. Was going for the tone of a miserable IWC fan.

So honestly, I think it's a masterpiece. Kind of blows my mind that Meltzer only gave it 4.5 stars.

Count me in as someone who was practically always bored with rmj. Some good matches and beat spots, but blah for the most part. Dids thing about breaking Kayfabe hits in perfectly

I enjoyed RMJ very much in WCW, but when he came to WWE, I couldn't stand him. I was super pissed when he won the World Title.
