Nah. Definately the smarks thing. Not a dig at him in any way. Its an epidemic amongst the IWC imo

I'd like to hear WWE's explanations for why they treat the US/IC championships the way they do. The belts have been a kiss of death for damn near everyone that has held them. Dean Ambrose hasn't suffered because he hasn't really done much solo work where he can job clean in a string of non title matches before losing the belt.

I thought they might do things a little differently with Big E, but he hasn't had anything to do since winning the IC belt. The strategy almost seems to be "let's throw the IC belt on X and see if he sinks or swims!" Then they give guys weak ass storylines with awful opponents, so the guy with the strap sinks.

Look how they portrayed the WHC title. Anything below that was losing prestige and being devalued.

Perfect time to make the IC more important again with the WHC gone. Got no hope at all for the US title though.

i'm convinced the WHC makes a return in the next couple months simply because i can't think of a reason why orton would be still carrying around both belts. if they were truly unified, he'd have a single belt.

it's a shame what's happened to the IC and US titles. it's kinda remarkable too considering how many mid-to-upper-tier quality guys they have who AREN'T in the world title picture. ziggler, miz, ADR, Cesaro, Barrett, Swagger, ryback, sandow, fandango, etc. Yet the titles weren't defended at all at the Rumble. no feuds either. really mind blowing when you think of it.

We already had this conversation. Jericho held both belts too (although it may have just been so HHH could hold two belts up at WM18).

I didn't watch RAW but it's likely that these are HHH's actual feelings rather than part of the angle. In fact looking at the rest of the card they probably shoehorned this opening in just to make it look like screwing Bryan out of the Rumble was actually planned.

IC title looks ridiculously tacky imo. No hope for the US title which is slowly becoming as valued as the European title.

So Lesnars "or else"-punishment to the authority, for not giving him a match, is to make sure HHH old friends retain the title and to beat up on the two guys the authority tried to get out of the company and repeatedly beat up on too?
That sure showed them!

That made almost as much sense as Wyatt making sure Cena and Bryan won their match.

Shows like last night have me asking myself why I'm still watching. I guess my still watching has nothing to do with the storylines anymore and everything to do with the times athleticism is shown in the ring.

Those titles are rarely defended at the Rumble, each once in the last 12 years, the IC title Edge vs Regal 2002 and the US title Miz vs MVP 2010. Usually these guys have a spot in the Rumble and that match takes a lot of time. That said for a lot of that time they were the 4th and 5th singles titles behind the WWE title, the WHC, and the ECW title. They certainly have the talent to make the IC title matter again as the 2nd singles title, I hope we see Dean Ambrose win a unification match this year and put the US title to rest.

IC title will gradually become more relevant now that WHC is gone. Given how recently it went its hard to judge them harshly on this. They should be building something with it post-mania I believe.

US title... I wonder if it could work as more of a gimmick rather than what it is now which is just boring and stupid. Need someone inventive to come up with something decent though; 24/7 wouldn't really fit.

agree with rest of your post too but this especially. also believe everything they are doing is just "the plan". But yeh i was smiling like an idiot at the sheer level of troll that Steph n H's were managing.

Steph has trolling down perfect now with her "YES! indeed the royal rumble was amazing! i agree" or something to that effect. I think the authority is awesome and a bit under appreciated purely coz everyone wants to hate HHH even though he has been solid and not a serial burier for ages now.

Had to think pretty hard when i finished watching if there was a cm punk segment, realised there wasn't. But remembered it was just Kane feud anywa and didn't give a **** anyway

Multiple sources (aka all over the internet) reports this morning that CM Punk walked out of Raw and went home. He didn't quit, but apparently wants time off? Not sure. Looks like a real chance he's just fed up and could potentially be done with the WWE once his contract is up.

Who knows

Thats wierd it almost sounds like he's annoyed with management. Maybe he can't stand the COO

Former WWE Champion The Miz is currently wrestling on NXT against CJ Parker. What's more is that he didn't even get an entrance video while he came out.

They never really gave him a fair shake as champ, and I say that while realizing full well that he beat Cena at WrestleMania.

But the fact that he didn't get a fair shake doesn't feel that regrettable because God he sucks anymore.

elimination chamber 2011 had a wwe title match of miz vs lawler. that was 2 months after it was miz vs lawler for the title on raw in a TLC match, where cole had to interfere to keep lawler from winning.

Not true. I keep hearing that he's "must see" or something to that effect.
