- Alicia Fox has commented on the damage she did to Beth Phoenix's face during their match on RAW last night. After Phoenix tweeted pictures of a nasty looking bump on her right temple, Fox followed up with a tweet of her own on Tuesday afternoon:

"@TheBethPhoenix wow!!!! I think your face looks better than ever!!!! Next one I'll put more STANk on it!!!! Kiss kiss"

Man, nothing like turning an abysmal botch in to an angle.

Really didn't see anything wrong with Alicia Fox using a scissor kick as a finisher, given her fantastic legs. I guess Vince doesn't care for the subtle racist things like every black person since Booker T using the scissor kick as a finisher

- As noted before, the December 19th RAW Supershow did a 2.92 cable rating and 4.29 million viewers with the TLC pay-per-view fallout.

In the segment breakdown, the show opened with a strong 3.36 rating, likely interest from the TLC pay-per-view. Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett lost 721,000 viewers but Beth Phoenix vs. Alicia Fox gained 277,000 viewers. Jinder Mahal vs. Sheamus lost 247,000 viewers and the John Cena promo that featured Kane and Mark Henry gained 428,000 viewers with a 3.18 quarter rating.

Epico & Primo vs. The Usos and Cody Rhodes vs. Santino Marella lost 719,000 viewers. Backstage segments with John Laurinaitis and The Bella Twins, Hornswoggle and a Big Show interview lost 56,000 viewers.

In what is a very bad sign, the overrun for the CM Punk, Daniel Bryan & Zack Ryder vs. Alberto Del Rio, The Miz & Dolph Ziggler match gained only 59,000 viewers. This is almost impossible as people tune into USA to see the next TV show. This means wrestling fans were tuning out in large numbers. Fans tuned out mostly during the first part of the match but viewership picked up some at 11pm.

The RAW six-man main event did a 2.67 rating, which might be the lowest rated RAW main event of this year.
This is ungood news.

Although I don't really know that six man tags are ever going to generate high ratings (I got no evidence to back that up).

Obvious conclusion is more Divas matches and less Orton/Barrett.

Fwiw they have been having the exact same problems with Punk for months and he is again the WWE champ. If your gut instinct is "looks like these guys are going to get Cena'd" then i wouldnt sweat it too much.

But yeah, it tends to prove what ive thought for a while, most WWE fans are ****ing ******ed.

It was probably just because everyone was turning on the football game to see if Big Rape was rapping anyone when the lights went out.

Since when do ratings mean anything anymore? As long as people keep buying Best in the World t-shirts, it should be all good.

Well they can't possibly think that people at this point are txting each other like "yo mah boy D Bryan just ragtagged that boy right there, tune in to USA yo"

Big changes like this need time to build. One week of low ratings might drive Vince nutty but they really need to realize that in order to build a future they must must stick with these guys and not just plug Cena back in every ME feud.

I know I'm far from the casual fan, but I would think they would love the idea of a Masked Kane/ Cena fued. It seems like the exact thing casual fans would love.

This is where the booking comes in and makes zero sense. How should Bryan get over when he's been basically losing every match for a few months before cashing in the briefcase. The same is true for Ryder. I think these guys have zero credibility with the "normal" fans, because they've been losing for months or maybe average at best.

Bryan should have hit rock bottom a few month ago and then give a promo that he feels he doesn't deserve a shot at a title and promise to give up the briefcase if he loses a single match before Wrestlemania. Then have him squash some jobbers for a few months, then move on to midcarders and have some great ppv matches. Then some time after the RR Henry (if he's still the WHC) starts paying attention to this guy that's coming after him and seems unstoppable. Let them run into each other every now and then but never have a regular match. Finally a month or 2 before WM Bryan gives a promo how he's worked his way up through the roster and feels like he deserves a shot at the title. Then have him defeat Henry at WM and everyone's happy. Fans want to cheer for the underdog, but you've also gotta give the underdog some momentum.

It doesn't have to be done in this exact manner, but having a guy losing all the time and then putting the WHC on him 1 or 2 month after his losing streak is just ridiculous. No wonder no one watched the RAW main event, when 2 of 3 faces are considered "losers" by the general public (and rightfully so based on the booking).

There is some truth in this, I don't see how Bryan can believably beat Henry or Big Show at this point.

Tonight's Smackdown was pretty odd. It had some good moments, didnt really have any bad moments i guess, but at the same time it promised a lot more and failed to live up to it.

The main event:
Spoiler:
was the epitome of the Teddy Long holonaminitplaya tag team meme when he interrupted a really good Ziggler and Bryan match to make it a tag team match in the middle because Big Slow and Swagger were fighting from outside the ring. He could literally have just ejected them from ringside and achieved the same end goal, or even book a tag match from earlier in the night instead of the one on one that wasnt. Really really odd booking unless its part of a tease for doing Zig vs Bryan early next year (ie at WM if Henry is still injured).

They also had Big Slow vs Henry for the number one contender spot, however as the bell was about to ring Otunga walked out, swigged some coffee (i luled) and then said Henry wasnt cleared to compete so he called off the match as the legal council for Laurenitus which was really really odd writing built off the fact Henry is injured.

But yeah, overall it was a decent show, def worth catching with some good wrestling in there, some alright if not outstanding matches overall and a couple good promos from Henry and Bryan.
