Rey vs. Seth tonight - but are they going to fail to mention the last time they faced each other when, you know, Seth ripped Rey's eye out of his skull?

"Dominic's useless." Grading on a 2022 curve, that is a 10/10 wrestling crowd chant.

If that chant becomes a thing, I might tune in just to hear it once

Just waiting for the day someone buries him by giving him the nickname Latino Skeet

This Wyatt stuff would be interesting if it didn't end in Wyatt having to wrestle.

Rey Mysterio in kayfabe has to be one of the stupidest wrestlers of all-time

Now going on week 4 in a row of Dominik baiting him to hit him, followed by Rhea clobbering him

Approaching Nia Jax putting Lana through a table every week territory

HHH has removed a lot of the stupidity and therefore runs a product with a chance of actually being good at some point. I generally don’t want to strangle him except when there’s a DX glorification promo on.

But I believe I’m lapsing back into PPV-only mode. The TV show is just not interesting enough right now.

Catching up on Extreme Rules from last night. Have to say, Michael Cole's raging indignation toward Dominik during the main event was top-level stuff. Cole can occasionally be very good.

Guess that wasn't the main event. To their credit, they made it seem like such a big deal that I bought into it as one.

I d/l'ed the event just to see the end of the event. I was underwhelmed but the pop was incredible.

Yeah, same feeling here. That did not really do anything for my interest level. Good PPV overall though I thought.

Kind of want to see Dom Mysterio pushed to the moon for the sheer hatred he'd get

You really haven't had your fill by now of WWE pushes being met with volcanic "go away" heat? That entire "go away" era of Reigns went on for like four years.

Tbf this is the only logical wrestler they have who can actively disparage the memory of Eddie Guerrero

Having Riddle face Seth for the US Title 2 weeks after they blew off the summer-long feud in a Fight Pit match seems like some retro Vince booking right there

Apparently Emma came back tonight. Surprised she had just fallen off the face of the earth since WWE released her a few years ago. Did always like her.

She had far more success in TNA/Impact than she ever did in WWE

Her getting paired with Santino/pulling the plug on Emmalina after 1 week really nuked any chance she had getting over the first time

Ah, I frequently forget that TNA/Impact even exists. Makes sense that she was there.

So apparently Logan Paul is incredible at this wrestling thing?

Enjoyed the match enough but the overbooking is on another level. Roman needs The Usos to interfere for him and then Solo to come out after Jake knocks them out? And the worst ****ing part of that is Jake has his music play and then Solo has his music play. Is the ref def? Just dumb af with the music and Roman needing help against Logan Paul of all people. Definition of paint by numbers with Roman's matches. Chants of "We want Sami" was hilarious.

I watched Bray's return promo a month or whatever ago and it seems there has been no progression. It's a different twist feuding with yourself but that doesn't make it good. But props to him for getting paid the entire bank for whatever the **** he's doing.

Brock's braided hair was something else and the most noteworthy thing on this ppv to me.

Especially considering he tore his ACL halfway through the match

Logan Paul does seem pretty impressive. I was under the impression that he was getting X-Pac heat early on, but I've liked everything I've seen from him. I didn't bother with this PPV for more than a few minutes; I wish (futilely) that these Saudi shows would go away.

I don't know why but these are the 5 characters I'm more interested in these days:

1) Rhea Ripley
2) Bray Wyatt
3) Becky Linch
4) Sammy Zayn
5) Valhalla

Sami has definitely reached a new level and is maybe the most compelling thing about the product right now. I retract all of my past negativity about his involvement in the angle with the Bloodline. It's really strong stuff.

It really surprised me that even Jim Cornette agrees with this. He has just showered hate on Sami for years, I think partially from working with him and finding him to personally be a pain to work with, but Corny is not a guy who reverses his opinion about much of anything. He went as far as to call him the best thing about the WWE right now. I saw Sami QT this into his Twitter feed last week, and it blew me away to see that even though the compliment is warranted.
