I can't believe they had this guy play diet John Cena for 7 years

So all this time when The Fiend has been saying "Let me in," all he's really been asking for is to get laid.

This is why every wrestler should be forced to go away for 4-6 months every three years. It's good for their health, and they can work on ways to make their character fresh.

Basically I'm saying I want Seth Rollins to go away for 4-6 months.

He'll be gone at least a month or three when Becky gives birth

Roman peaking. Holy **** what a segment to end the show.

Jey Uso deserves a ton of credit for his part in this feud, he's absolutely made the most of what seemed like a really odd choice as Roman's first defense by playing a likable sympathetic underdog. The whole dynamic is simple but it works and I hope Jey doesn't immediately get shuffled down to the bottom of the card after he loses.

The heel turn is also probably being helped by the lack of fans, as it doesn't allow Roman to reach the point in his heel run where loser smark fans who want to pat themselves on the back for being "smart" enough to realize he's doing great heel work cheer him.

Nobody made a thread for Clash, which I just watched. Highly rec the opening ladder match and the main event. Reigns/Uso is a match of the year contender for me, I thought it was just perfect and a gripping story. Everything else on the show is skippable except for Orton/Drew if you're interested in that storyline.

Heel Roman GOAT

Ladder match was great although the ear stuff was a bit much for me.

I can't imagine skipping the Bayley segment, I thought that was great too.

Do we think the end of the tag match was the ref & Andrade not being on the same page? IE ref knew Garza was (for real) hurt and wanted to end the match and Andrade didn't?

I feel vindicated for saying Roman is an elite talent for years who's just been booked as poorly as humanly possible. That match was absolutely perfect.

Yeah its weird, as much as I hated face Roman getting shoved down our throats, I love heel Roman about the same.

and yes agree with the sentiment slightly up thread about time for Rollins to sit out a few months and find a new line

long term speculation...Wrestlemania main event either Rollins/Reigns...or maybe even Reigns/Rock?

Reigns/Rock is the dream, and when you start to wonder about why they would turn Roman heel and go with this Samoan chief route, that kind of leads you to that match. Obviously tons of variables there so I'm not going to count on it. He's out of the picture right now, but heel Reigns vs. face Daniel Bryan is a Mania level match with tons of background to draw from.

I hated face Roman because he wasn't a very good face, and some of their booking was so heavy-handed that it made the whole show unpleasant to watch because they were trying to fit him into this role he wasn't meant for. But now it is kind of paying off because they have years of anticipation for this built up and it feels like such a natural fit for him.

Granted that you were probably higher on his talent than others, but I don't think most of us thought he was talentless garbage or anything. The primary complaint was always about the ridiculous way they pushed him.

Seems like it's probably a really good thing in the end that there was such full-throated opposition to his prior push, since Vince was probably only ever going to be dragged to this point kicking and screaming.

I hope he starts going with "The Chief is HERE!"

Wasn't really enjoying the Roman/Uso stuff until the ending.

Loved the way the ladder match was booked. Perfect for Sami.

As much of a yawnfest as Raw has been lately, MVP has been, well the MVP of that show. Perfect mouthpiece for Lashley. It's just odd that this heel group are the only ones to continuously step up against Retribution.

Fun fact: every match Apollo Crews has had since June 15th has been versus someone in The Hurt Business.

Every single match.

Yeah if there was ever a time to bring Rock back, it is for this story line, and during this pandemic. But not counting on it. Already have me instantly sold face Bryan v heel Reigns next best thing. Feels like Bryan should have more than just one Wrestlemania main event.

Roman: "This match will have the highest stakes of all-time"

So higher than

- custody of a small child
- your mother on a pole
- death of other guy's manager in cement mixer
- "The Greatest Match of All-Time"

After the last two years, I'd just be happy with a Hell in the Cell match actually reaching a justifiable conclusion.

I'm supposing that a draft tonight would be a decent opportunity to dip my toe back into the water, given the fair amount of reset it provides. I'll try to remember to watch.

Raw was really enjoyable this week. Feel like the show accomplished a lot from setting up KO/Fiend, but still reminding us he's in a feud with Black to moving closer to a Dom/Murphy double turn and even the Retribution stuff was okay this week...to a point.

It makes sense for Ali to join the group if you think about it. He was supposed to be the guy to get the Kofi push last year. They could always use that as a motivating factor, but why am I supposed to care if the guys who just looked to jump him 3 on 1 are now being attacked by a larger gang? And I really hope he's just part of the group and not the leader, though they're certainly making it sound that way.
