Can you expand on "Kairi Sane" having any marketability in the WWE? She doesn't speak english lol. How can you succeed in an American entertainment industry without being able to speak english?

She was probably the most popular wrestler in NXT when she was there (I think she won the favorite superstar award or w/e). Her English isn't great but she is so expressive and naturally likable that I don't think she has to say a whole lot if used optimally. She also isn't like Asuka, where she was this unbeatable juggernaut which makes her hard to book. She just plays a white meat babyface character that is a staple of wrestling and I think she does it as well as anyone I've ever seen.

That plus the pirate gimmick which creates a lot of merch potential is most of my basis. She's extremely kid friendly (basically a Disney character) and older fans respect her because she's so good in the ring.

This is what won me over with her. I have a number of negative posts about her when I first saw her in NXT. After a while, seeing her wrestle won me over. She's a female 1994 1-2-3 Kid.

They're already pushing a white meat babyface female who can't speak English though. Can't have two of the same thing.

Spoiler:
Bayley

They beat one of the top tag teams in the entire San Jose metropolitan area. Don't think it's fair to call them jobbers.

This has been the most epic run in the history of the women's tag team belts.

Man, I've at least been able to stick to a schedule of watching every PPV, but they're really pushing it with that card.

Yeah. I let my subscription lapse and am not gonna do a re-up for this.

...Although I saw they uploaded a bunch of old Mid-Atlantic episodes that look interesting, so maybe I'll crack sooner than expected and renew.

The Wyatt segment this week was a bit meh, shame it's basically going to be him in a weird mask most likely doing hokey **** like he did before.

WWE over the past few years have had a few really good video bits, the fashion police being the other main one that comes to mind but they literally never have payoff.

...it's almost as if they never have an actual plan, or if they do, they change their mind before getting anywhere with it.

This wildcard rule is out of hand. Not even done with the episode yet and today we've seen: Elias, Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns, Big E, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, Daniel Bryan, Rowan, Bayley. I may be forgetting people too.

On the same note, it seems like WWE is just reverting to the old ways where Raw was the only show that matters and Smackdown is a glorified recap show. The top SD storylines are developing on Raw every week.

They need to either drop the brand split or stick to it. This just sucks.

-I continue to be impressed with the Shane/Drew stable. They both know and play their roles very well. Once again, everything about their segments tonight felt old school, especially Roman getting the upper hand on them. Drew NEEDS to go over Roman this Sunday (even dirty). If he does there's huge potential all around. If you want to eventually crown Roman, have Drew be the one to beat Kofi, dominate for awhile, and build the heat on this stable to levels we haven't seen in a long time. Do that, and Roman going over at WM next year will get a pop.

-Becky & Lacey both did good mic work tonight. They're doing a nice job of keeping their feud fresh. It has to be over after Becky wins though.

-Alexa/Nikki is more good stuff. Interested to see where they go with that. I'm not sure Bayley is the best foil to whatever Alexa is up to though.

-The Iconics are way too sweet to be making **** sports references to draw heat. Glad they didn't lose their titles.

-Is Rollins really the face? I can't remember a face running around sneaking up on people with a steel chair. I guess it sorta makes sense in kayfabe, with Corbin having a huge advantage getting to pick his ref, Rollins has incentive to take out his choices. The beatdown on the jobber who was insistent he wasn't gonna ref seemed excessive though.

-Nice touch by WWE to have Owens/Zayn make fun of the stupid wild card bit. Like 7 people from SD where there tonight. Maybe more. Hopefully the cluster**** of a main event kills or at least settles it down. The fans had 0 reaction because they knew it was meaningless, just faces and heels fighting each other for no other reason than the fact that they're faces and heels. Why would The New Day protect Rollins? Why would The Usos protec The New Day? Makes no ****ing sense.

-Bryan is really good at his job. Cut multiple good promos then him and Rollins put on the match of the night after the ruckus cleared.

I actually really liked this whole show with the only caveat being the already mentioned Wildcard rule stupidity. Like it's just dumb that there is a Raw and Smackdown women's champion when they're appearing on both shows anyways. And I guess hearing the Lakers get run down by heels every 10 minutes got a little old.

The other good thing not mentioned yet was the AJ/Gallows/Anderson stuff. A simple story involving a tag team with a focus on wins/losses is the kind of thing they need a lot more of.

We were also tantalizingly close to a 3MB reunion tonight!

I don't even remember who's supposed to be on which show anymore.

Didn't Drew attack Zigs because he wanted to be on his own? Not that I'm against a decent faction, but if these guys are going to be taken seriously, then the four of them should have been able to kick Roman's ass.

I gotta give Bray a lot of credit if this is him coming up with all this stuff. Yeah, it'll probably end up going nowhere, but this guy is really trying. There was a time where everyone loved the Wyatt gimmick too. Can only hope they find a way for these puppets to come to the ring with him, especially devil Vince.

At the end of Drew's first run in WWE, he was in a jobber stable with Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater with the gimmick that they were a crappy rock band or something. Obviously it's not something they want to bring up as they push Drew as a top guy, but I appreciated the little callback when he told Heath "we go way back."

Heath is one of my favorite dudes on the roster. I feel like whenever they give him anything to do he knocks it out of the park.

Somehow I get email offers from WWE. They are offering me 3mo of the network for $.99. I have little to no interest in the current product. How is the library of old stuff? Particularly old NWA (mid 80s onward TBS 6:05 show), original ECW, Mid South, SMW, AWA, and WCCW? Are the archives worth going through and easy to navigate?

Anything is worth $.99, but I know I’ll forget (which is their hope) and kick myself for giving Vince any money at the end of the trial.
